Sunday Ramblin's!!!!!!!!
Hey all! I'm feeling much better today, although my stomach is not fully "normal", I think I can still function. Thanks for all your support, it does make the ordeal easier!
I have to go to the Mall today. Becky got a gift card to "Hot Topic" from her aunt for Christmas, and she hasn't had the chance to use it yet. We tried to use the website, since I really shouldn't be exposing myself to sick people, but they do not accept the cards "on-line". So we have to go use it before it expires. I really don't like the Mall, but whatever it takes. The card is worth $50, so I'd hate to waste the money.
Now I know what some of you are thinking. Why am I worried about going to the mall, when I work in a Pharmacy. You know, where all the Sick people go??!! Well, truth be told, I can avoid the worst of them at work. There are counters, and the crew I work with are very cognizant of the problem, and will steer me away if a possibly dangerous ( to me anyway) person comes up to one of the windows. We also have tons of alcohol, antiseptic soaps, and anything else needed to "sanitize" available. So I feel pretty safe there. But the mall? Too many people- not enough protections. So we'll be making a VERY SHORT trip.
Oh and a funny for you all- I'm now practically BALD! The (very!!) little hair remaining on my head amounts to peach fuzz! It's actually rather funny now, and I'm just trying to figure out how to shave that little bit off, so I can start from scratch, after all the treatments are over.
Speaking of which- APRIL 6th!!!!!!!! That is my last Chemo!! WOO HOO! Then 3 weeks, surgery, a couple of weeks of radiation and I'm DONE! I can't begin to tell you how glad I am to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am truthfully sick and tired of BEING sick and tired! The only down thing is- April 6th is Andy's birthday *sigh*. Well, I guess we'll plan on celebrating the weekend before, so I'm feeling up to it.
Well, the day isn't getting any younger, so it's off to the mall, then back here for my Sunday chores. I be back in later to check around between laundry loads. Have a great Sunday all!
Peace and Love- KC

Edit at 5:45 pm- To those of you that watch the Weather channel, or if it hits the evening news: Yes, we had tornados hit Palm Bay today, but none of them hit us. We're ok. Thank the Gods! They hit about 1/2 mile west of us. Way to close for comfort!!!!! There are still more storms coming through this evening, so send good vibes! You all are really good at that! Peace, KC

Kimmie imitating Mom! Silly child!

I decided to skip work today. I'm still not up to it, and when I called, my boss ( A.K.A.- Major Tom) said that he knew I wouldn't be. So at least I don't have the "guilties" over it. I managed to eat a bowl of applesauce yesterday evening, so hopefully I'm getting better. And I finally got some sleep last night.

Well, in keeping with tradition- Your Friday Funny! I'll be back later. Have a great Friday!

I OWE MY MOTHER!!

1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE. "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

2. My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL. "If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

4. My mother taught me LOGIC. " Because I said so, that's why."

5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC. "If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."

6. My mother taught me FORESIGHT. "Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an accident."

12. My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY. "If I told you once, I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate!"

13. My mother taught me the CIRCLE OF LIFE. "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

14. My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION. "Stop acting like your father!"

15. My mother taught me about ENVY. "There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do."

16. My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION. "Just wait until we get home."

17. My mother taught me about RECEIVING "You are going to get it when you get home!"

18. My mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE. "If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."

19. My mother taught me ESP. "Put your sweater on; don't you think I know when you are cold?"

20. My mother taught me HUMOR. "When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

21. My mother taught me HOW TO BECOME AN ADULT. "If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

22. My mother taught me GENETICS. "You're just like your father."

23. My mother taught me about my ROOTS. "Shut that door behind you. Do you think you were born in a barn?"

24. My mother taught me WISDOM. "When you get to be my age, you'll understand."

25. And my favorite: - My mother taught me about JUSTICE. "One day you'll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you!"

Me again- funny, but #25 is SOOO TRUE!

Take care of you! Peace and Love, KC

BLEH!
Well, Chemo finally got me. I think I got about 2 hours sleep last night. Heartburn and muscle spasms kept me from dozing off. And of course, I can't take any of the meds I have floating around for heartburn-CRAP! At least I don't have to work today, I'd never make it.
My visit with the dr. yesterday was fun. I was wearing one of my Lep shirts, and as he walked in, he said " Def Leppard, Huh?". He then said, " your a rocker, good!" I was a bit surprised, this quite, rather mellow guy saying this. Then he hit me with a bomb. He asked if I knew where he had been last weekend? Of course, I said a medical conference. He said- 3rd row at the Motley Crue concert in Tampa!!!!!!!!!! Color me GREEN! You have to understand, he's looks like the type to me more likely to be at a Barry Manilow or Cher concert. We spent the next 10 minutes talking music. It was great, and I think I have him convinced to check out "our guys" next time they're down here. And he said I'm doing wonderfully, though I have a hard time believing that this morning.
Off to the I.V. lab, where their are bunches of recliners and chairs for all the various people getting treatments. Almost every aged person is in there, although the majority are older( over 65 ) I usually try to find a chair away from anyone too old, as I crank up my music once I'm hooked up to my meds. They have head nurse there named Joyce that is just the bomb. She's 6 foot, Black and a one-woman comedy act! Point in fact, if you aren't smiling, she'll keep at you until you do! I was in my chair, bopping my feet to the music, and she tapped my foot-" what you listening to?" long story short, I lent her one of my ear-plugs, she listened and said " OOOHHHH, I'm stickin' with this one! She's listening to the GOOD STUFF!" She sat down an listened for a little while, asking me what I had ( on my I-Pod) and huffed and puffed when one of her co-workers came over to bug her ( jokingly of course!)
Such was my day in cancer-land. You find your thrills where you can. I'm going to go lay down for a while, perhaps I can catch up with the elusive sleep fairy. I'll check in later, and let you know what's up! Peace and Love, KC

I'm Tired!!
And I have chemo tomorrow. BLEH! Oh well, with any luck- they'll take my blood sample and find my levels low enough to give me some Procrit. That would help. I got home last night, and my feet and legs hurt so badly, I couldn't walk for about 2 hours. That is just not normal for me. I've been back for almost 5 weeks, they should be used to the standing all day by now.
Becky is driving me crazy. She just found out that the Green Day/My Chemical Romance tour is coming to Orlando in March. I have always promised her that when a tour that we both would like comes to town, we would go. I do owe her, as her brother ( who is 4 years younger!) has already been to his first concert( to see a group we all know and love- BTW!). But the concert is right after my 3rd chemo treatment, and I'm not sure I'll be up to the 2 hour drive to the venue! And Dad is just not enough of a music lover to take her. He listens to music, sure! But he has never been the "concert-goer" type. He's been to some, but usually if a group of friends/I kind-of push him into it. So the chances of him taking her is slim to none. And he doesn't keep up with the new music. I doubt if he really knows who Green Day are! Well, maybe I can come up with something. She's really excited about it, and I know that Andy's already talking about seeing the Leps again this summer if they come down here. I can't really take him to another concert- if she hasn't been yet. Fairness in parenting and all that crap!
Well, that's all for now. I have to work today, Chemo tomorrow morning, and then off until Friday. I'll catch up with you all later! Love and Peace! KC

Sunday, February 20, 2005

Hi everyone!
just a short post tonight. I just got done watching Dateline. They interviewed Melissa Etheridge, who wowed them at the grammys. I have to say, I've always liked her music, but that performance just blew me away. Not that I didn't know she was capable of such, but knowing what she has gone through these past months, well, I was inspired. And having watched her interview, I am more so.
She was diagnosed around the same time I was. She's been where I've been, and continue to be. The order of her treatments were slightly different, ( she had surgery right away, where as I had chemo/surgery/chemo) but none the less, it was nice to hear her speak of the "hell" that all that entails. I sat listening, with a "you go girl" coming out of my mouth more than once! The fact that she too treated all the ups and downs with humor. The gods only know where I would be without it! And with the help of her family and friends, she's cancer free. That's where I will be in a month or so, the gods willing. I will have to upload her CD's to my I-Pod, so I can listen while in chemo this week. It will remind me that the end is near, and hopefully as sweet as hers.
That's all for now, I work the early shift tomorrow, and will try to be back after work. You all try to have a good Monday! I'll "see" all of you soon! Love and Peace! KC

Happy Friday!!
And I work a shorter shift today. Last night turned out to be not so bad, it actually allowed my feet a break, and they didn't hurt so bad when I got home.
Not much to talk about, so we'll get right to the Friday funnies. I don't have one really good one, so it's "2 for 1" day! Take care of you!!! Peace, KC

Subject: THE SICK JOKE RETURNS
Two Arabs are sitting in a Gaza Strip bar chatting over a pint of fermented goat's milk. One pulls his wallet out and starts flipping through pictures and they start reminiscing.
"This is my oldest son, Mohammed...He's a martyr."
"This is my second son, Hammed. He is a martyr also."After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Arab says wistfully,
"They blow up so fast, don't they?"

............................................................................................
And an Airline funny- complements of my "flight attendant cousin!"

An airline passenger cabin was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone into a good mood as he served them food and drinks. As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and announced to the passengers "Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, lovely people, so if you could just put up your trays that would be super."

On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed that a well-dressed rather exotic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle. "Perhaps you didn't hear me over the those brute engines. I asked you to raise your trazy-poo so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground."

The woman calmly turned her head and said "In my country, I am a Princess. I take orders from no one."

To which the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat "Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country, I am called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray-up, bitch!!"
............................................................................

Oh heck, why not one more!

The mother-in-law....
A man, his wife and mother-in-law went on vacation to the Holy Land.
While they were there the mother-in-law passed away.
The undertaker told them, "You can have her shipped home for
$5,000, or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for $150.00."
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her
shipped home.
The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your
mother-in-law home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and
spend only $150.00?"
The man replied, "A man died here 2000 years ago, was buried here,
and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can't take that
chance!!!!

Have a great day!!!!!!!! KC :-)

That means that I got off at noon, only to have to return at 5pm, and work until 8 or 9pm!!! What was I thinking?????
Someone just SLAP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I should have just kept my mouth shut, but here I am, sitting waiting for 4pm to come. No evening with the family, and no dinner! Shit, I really need to get off these medications! They obviously are having an adverse affect on my common sense. Oh well, maybe I'll play around on I-tunes for a while..
Hope you all have a better day!

Chemo Brain!!!!!!
That's what it is! I swear! I knew this function was here, I just forgot! ( thanks Kim!)
Well, I guess there's no need to change my blog template after all! Good thing too, 'cause I couldn't find one that I was really thrilled about anyway!
Actually, there really is a "syndrome" called Chemo brain. Apparently, with all the rest of the side-effects of the drug(s), it causes the synapses in your brain to fire "weirdly". I'm told this by many others that have been there, done that. So at least I have a reason why I'm suffering from "CRS" so much lately.
Speaking of which, I'd better call the Hubby at work, and let him know why the bank balance is so low. If he puts his check in today, and sees it- he's libel to go postal. I spent the money on getting the bills "ahead" and instead of waiting for his and my pay, I just went ahead and payed everything. He'll probably think I spent all the monies ( on what- I don't know!! E-bay perhaps lol!) I don't need to come home from work today to a pissed off husband!
Well, speaking of work, I'd better get going! Take care of you, and have a great day! Peace, KC

And so it goes.....
Well, another day off. And this time I'm not doing much. Just some house cleaning and goofing off. That's the plan, anyway!
Hope you all had a great day yesterday. I worked the early shift, and so couldn't get on here until late, and I was so beat, I just posted quick and went to rest. I'm feeling fine though, so don't worry! I just need to find a exorcist for my house. Why, you may ask? Well, I'll tell you!
Saturday, we decided that instead of fixing the kitchen faucet ( for the 99th time!) we would just go ahead and buy a new one. After all, the one we had was 18 years old ( original to the house) and had done it's duty. So off to Lowe's we went. Found a nice one for around $150. You know, the kind with the "pull out" faucet that works really well with large pots? ( since hubby always uses the largest pot available lol!) Got it home, opened it up and sure enough- MISSING PARTS! DAMN! It was too late Saturday to go back, so Sunday morning we went back. Returned that one, and went to find a replacement. Found it, took it to the cashier. I decided to have her open the box BEFORE I paid. Sure enough- MISSING PARTS AGAIN! Shit, this was getting old. They did not have any more of this type/brand in stock, and the ones they did have were out of our price range. So we left Lowes, and went across town to Home Depot. Found yet another faucet, and ( after opening that one as well, and seeing it had all it's parts) took it home. How wrong we were.
Now, as the old faucet had been attached to the sink for a loooonnnnngggg time, it took the better part of an hour to convince it to let go of the sink. Much cussing by hubby, a LARGE hammer, and finally it gave up it's hold. Great! Now for the new one! Hubby was not happy with being stuck under the sink. But since I still can't get my left arm above my shoulder ( due to the surgery and the nerve damage involved) I told him that I could call a plumber, and after discussing the cost of that, he quit his bitching, and kept his mouth shut! We got it installed, and when it came time to hook up the water supply- the connectors came up short. Just as I mentioned when we were at the store! So off to the store AGAIN! This time though, he flew solo, as I was trying to do laundry and clean the rest of the house in between all of this! So he comes back , hooks it all up, turns on the water- LEAK!!!!! OMG! It seems that we WERE missing an important washer, in the handle of the faucet! SHIT! DAMN! Murphy- get out of my house! Luckily, I remembered an old shower head that we had bought, but never used. Dug around the garage and TA DA! Extra washer! Put it in and now we have a faucet that doesn't leak! A job that we thought would take 1 - 2 hours had now taken 5, but I have a new faucet! BLEH!
We had also ordered some new blinds for our kitchen windows, and in all of this chaos, they had called to set an appointment for the measuring of said windows. March 3rd! WTF!?? I have to wait almost 2 months before these Yahoos can get here to put them in???? And 2 of the kids' sneakers blew out, birds got at what was left of my tomatoes in my garden, yada, yada, yada! "Murphy" has become a very unwelcome guest in my house, and I want his ass gone! So if any of you know a good exorcist, a good spell- ANYTHING! I would be grateful! We ended up eating Hot Dogs for dinner Sunday, instead of the roast we were planning, as we were just too tired and pissed to cook! ( not to mention, if we had started the roast after all was said and done- it would have been 10 pm by the time we would have eaten!)
So went my weekend! PFFT! Oh and one more thing. As much as I LOVE the graphics and such on this blog template, I may go searching for another. Why? Because this one does not allow for some things I would like to do. Like different sized fonts, colors and such. Creatively speaking, it's kind-of restrictive. So I may change that in the next few days. IF I can find one I like. I'm still not sure. The way things are going, I may be setting myself up for some more problems lol ! We'll have to see. Well, I'm off to catch up with all of you. I may be back later. Have a good day! Peace, KC

IT'S FRIDAY!!!
And I'm off! WOO HOOO! One more week in, and I'm doing fine thanks. I have to go to the "PS" this morning to get "pumped up" ** bad SNL flash-backs here***! Then Hubby and I are gonna do some shopping, since the tax monies are in! A fix for a leaking faucet, and some curtains are on the menu. Not too exciting, but hey, I'll take what I can get. Then just a check-up and shots for the youngest ( boosters since she will be starting Kindergarten this fall) FUN,FUN,FUN!
I'll be back later, after the errands are run, but as it IS Friday........

Women, VS Men- FUNNY!!!

WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.
Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.
Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.
Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl.
And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

WOMEN'S REVENGE
"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the
woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet
I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.
"So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked.
"No," she replied, " but my husband refused to come
shopping with me, and I figured this was the most
evil thing I could do to him legally."

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN
(A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE)
I know I'm not going to understand women.
I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax
pour it onto your upper thigh,
rip the hair out by the root,
and still be afraid of a spider.

MARRIAGE SEMINAR
While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with
communication, Tom and his wife Grace listened to the
instructor, "It is essential that husbands and wives know
the things that are important to each other."
He addressed the man,
"Can you describe your wife's favorite flower?"
Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and
whispered, "It's Pillsbury, isn't it?
The rest of the story gets rather ugly, so I'll stop right here.

CIGARETTES AND TAMPONS
A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up and down
the aisles. The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can
help him. He answers that he is looking for a box of
tampons for his wife. She directs him down the correct
aisle. A few minutes later, he deposits a huge bag of cotton
balls and a ball of string on the counter.
She says, confused, "Sir, I thought you were looking for
some tampons for your wife?
He answers, " You see, it's like this, yesterday, I sent
my wife to the store to get me a carton of cigarettes,
and she came back with a tin of tobacco and some rolling
papers; cause it's sooo-ooo--oo-ooo much cheaper.
So, I figure if I have to roll my own ............ so does she.
( I figure this guy is the one on the milk carton! )

WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles,
not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an
argument and neither of them wanted to concede their
position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats,
and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically,
"Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many
words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we
have to repeat everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"

CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you
can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
" The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made
me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!

WHO DOES WHAT
A man and his wife were having an argument about who
should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up
first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, " You are in charge of cooking
around here and you should do it, because that is your
job, and I can just wait for my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it
is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me."
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New
Testament and showed him at the top of several pages,
that it indeed says.......... "HEBREWS"

It's Hump Day!!
And yes, I'm feeling much better! At least my stomach hasn't given me any fits this morning. Let's hope it lasts...
I spent some time yesterday morning thinking about the possibilities of a "family vacation". As we are finally doing better financially, and with the "light at the end of the tunnel", I've been seriously contemplating dragging this sorry bunch on a "real" trip. One that involves leaving the house for more than one day, going somewhere new, perhaps exciting and fun. I know, so what, right? Well- we have never done that! The 90's were a decade that had us just barely clinging on to the basics ( home and hearth) and a trip just wasn't in the cards. But now that hubby is making good money, and the bills are paid, well- I WANT OUT! Somewhere where we've never been. My kids have never traveled farther north than Ocala ( to see my roommie!) and farther south than West Palm Beach. (And that was only Andy, to see some good looking Brits we all know and love!)They've only stayed in a hotel room once. I think it's about time I showed them a bit more of this world, Huh?
Some possibilities:
1- Williamsburg, VA. I just love that area, I think they will too!!!
2- Seattle, WA. To see their grandfather. With airfares being what they are now, it is within the realm of possibilities.
3- New Orleans,LA. God, I want to see that place!
4- NJ,NY, PA.- where I grew up, to visit family and friends.

I'm not sure when and where yet, and I will make no concrete plans until a certain "afore mentioned" group of Brits cough up a concert schedule. Since I am still also planning a personal "trip" of my own.( Dream #1 that I will NOT give up!) But I hope to convince my family that the world does not end at the Florida State line ***sigh***. If any of you have any other great ideas- I'm always willing to listen. (I guess the roaming Sagittarius in me is hitting with springtime.) But hey, it doesn't hurt to dream, does it?
I'm off to work, you all have a good day! Take care of YOU! Peace, KC

P.S.- I've added Sandy and Cory to my sidebar links (Finally!) if I'm missing any of you- LET ME KNOW!! I've been slacking since I've been back to work- sorry! Adios! KC

Junk, with assorted Stuff....
I'm doing ok, not great, but ok. My stomach, while not giving me an intimate relationship with "Ralph", is not really on an even keel. Which means food doesn't do much for me right now. I'm basically forcing some down as needed, which is not my idea of a good time! And this is just round 1. I have 3 more of these treatments to go, which will only compound the "side-effects" each time. Drugs! I need more drugs! Is it April yet??????
Work is going well, I'm managing to keep up, and not wear myself out. And my feet no longer scream at me at the end of the day. Thank goodness! And I see my PS Friday for another treatment towards my reconstruction. More pain- YEA!!!
I was watching the news last night, and our local politicians have decided to try to wave the "impact fee" on new housing down here. This is what they use to build/expand schools down here. WTF?? Most schools down here are overcrowded, even with as many as 20 portables as classrooms.( which, BTW, are not very safe in the bad weather we are prone to!) Where are they going to get the money for schools??? They say they're planning on a penny sales tax- BAH! Those kind of things never pass- the retirees will not vote a single tax in, for anything! They move down here to get away from taxes, and since this one is for kids ( which they don't have anymore!) It will fly like the proverbial lead balloon! Idiots! Fools! Sorry, it just pisses me off!
One more thing for you all. I will be receiving soon 10 pink "breast cancer" bracelets. You know, like the yellow "Livestrong" ones, only for breast cancer. I need one for Mom, and the rest are up for grabs. I will mail one to you if you wish, with one caveat- You must promise to wear it! I will mail one to you if you wish ( no charge), just e-mail me. I'm not turning into a "crusader", but I will admit that I wouldn't wish what I'm going through on anyone. And if seeing the bracelets will remind people to get checked/treated, then it's worth it!
I will try to be "around" more, but I haven't been up to it. This crap I'm feeling should pass in the next few days, and I'll be back to my normal "silly" self. Bear with me friends, and until then- Peace! KC

Dan Marino makes the Football Hall of Fame!

Well done, Danny-boy! Well done indeed!

You all know I'm a die-hard Steeler fan, but I can still appreciate a good player. He is definately one to admire, both on the field and off.  And hats off also to another great that made the cut- Steve Young. It's good to see the "nice guys" get there due! Congrats to both, and again, well done!

Happy Friday!!
I'm doing fine this morning ( no pun intended!) The Meds the nurse gave me yesterday seem to be doing the trick. At least I haven't had to visit "Ralph" at all yet!
And I felt up enough to go to a special meeting last night at Andy's school. That's right, my son got an award for Citizenship last night!!!! It states that he is " courteous, well behaved, helpful and polite". And he "should be commended for their hard work and efforts in the classroom". WOW! How proud am I??!! You raise your kids hoping that you are teaching them the right things. It's nice to know your efforts haven't been in vain! I know he's "my dude", and I think he's special. But hearing that from others just gives you the "warm fuzzies"!!!
I forgot to mention yesterday, that in my talk with the nurse ( as she was loading up my meds.) that I HAD to make work the next 2 weeks, or I would lose all my benefits. She proceeded to let me know in no uncertain terms that I was not to worry about it. She said that she would ( if needed) make sure I was signed up for any assistance programs needed to finish my treatments, including any reconstruction and such. Boy, that helped to ease my mind quite a bit, although I'm feeling ok, so it may be all a moot point. 2 weeks more, and that will be one worry I'll be able to put behind me.
Oh yea! It's Friday! So, my "Mental Morale Army" - A laugh for you all! Peace, KC

I'm BAAACCCKKK!
The Chemo went ok. I feel a little woozy, and my stomach is not on a totally even keel. The nurse gave me enough anti-nausea meds to keep me going through tomorrow, if I need them. So at least that's one problem solved. I just hope my energy level keeps up. The one med that I'm on is the one that has supposedly given Chemo it's bad rap. Nausea, mouth sores, all the stuff you hear of and dread. GREAT! But if it gets bad, all I have to do is call, and they will fit me in for some heavy-duty IV stuff that will fix me up! But I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. But I may forgo dinner tonight, or at least eat something easy on the stomach. No sense tempting fate, Eh?
Oh and I got those Berets I ordered. They're much better that bandanas, cooler, and more professional looking for work. I may have to go back to that website for more, we'll see. And the nurse told me my hair should start growing back in 5 - 6 weeks after my last treatment. That means I may actually have hair before the end of summer! Hey, gotta look at the bright side!
I'm going to go lay down, and save the rest of my energy for tomorrow. Thanks for all your support! I don't know how I'd get through this without you all! Take care of you!!!! Peace, KC :-)

Happy Thursday!
And I'm off today! Well, from work, anyway. I have my Chemo treatment this morning, which will have me sitting around for about 3 hours. Mom wants to go to lunch, but I told her to call me first, as I'm not sure what this round of meds are going to do to me. And I've been so tired the last few days, that I might just come home and "veg" afterwards. I need to be able to go to work tomorrow regardless, or my hours will be too low to keep my benefits up. That's my biggest fear right now- that I won't last the 4 weeks required to return to my "normal" status, and regain my sick days, vacation, and also the ability to go back out on disability if needs be. One week of less that 30 hours, and I'm toast! And I need my medical insurance right now, you know?
I'm sorry that I haven't been around the last few days, but as I said, I've been coming home tired. Not exhausted, but just enough that I don't feel up to fighting everyone for time on the computer. It's just easier to wait for a morning that I'm here by myself. No kids screaming, and no hubby cussing at the political wonks on the TV! So here I am! Not looking forward to the new round of meds, and the side-affects that come with them. Maybe I'll get Jon to shave my head tonight, since what's left of my hair will fall out with this round. That could be an interesting evening- don't you think??!!
Well, off to gather my supplies. A book, something to drink and snack on, and my I-Pod. If I'm gonna be stuck sitting for 3 hours, I'll need something to keep my mind busy. Have a good day, I'll try to get back later, and tell you how it went.
Peace, KC

03. Little Bit Of Love (Free)
04. Drive In Saturday (David Bowie)
05. Street Life (Roxy Music)
06. Hanging On The Telephone (Blondie)
07. The Golden Age Of Rock N Roll (Mott The Hoople)
08. Don't Believe A Word (Thin Lizzy)
09. Rock On (David Essex)
10. He's Gonna Step On You Again (aka Step On)(John Kongos, also covered by Happy Mondays & The Party Boys)
11. 10538 Overture (ELO)
12. Hellraiser (Sweet)
13. No Matter What (Badfinger)
14. Stay With Me (Faces)

I don't know about you all, but it looks pretty good to me :-)
Have a good day ! Peace, KC
