Better late than never
HI ALL! Today, I finally got done what I've been planning for weeks ( but the weather stopped) My veggie/herb garden. That's right friends, I love to garden! And it's a cheap way to get get the most out of my humble ground.
Actually, it is really 3 separate areas- a small plot under a bay window in front of my kitchen, a former flower bed off my back porch ( where no flowers EVER grew well) and pots scattered around the porch. Just planted the basics today ( tomatos,peppers, broccoli,squash, lettuce, rosemary, thyme, basil etc.) I will add more as I find them. My favorite garden place is still closed due to Jeanne, so I will hit them up for the cool stuff as soon as they open ( Jalepenos, eggplant, and herbs that are out of the "normal" scope!) I even found these tomatos called " Mr. Stripey", they're red and yellow striped- the Kids will love those!
I know you all may think this is boring stuff- but this is my way of saying to the world: Back to normal in Palm Bay! and besides, there is nothing better on a saturday afternoon that to go out my back door and "pick" a salad for lunch! It is not quite 11am, and I feel like I have accomplished the world! I know, I lead a sad little life,no? But when I walk up to my front door, to the smells of rosemary and mint- well, I'll be smiling !
Off to do the laundry! Anyone for some Herbal tea?????  KC
