Not Good!
My mother once asked me why I said I was nervous sometimes at work. This( and things like it) are why:

Customers and employees fled an Apopka drugstore Monday night when an armed man stormed the business, authorities said.
The man, thought to be in his 40s, took a handful of prescription pills just before surrendering to police after the hourslong standoff at Walgreens, 125 E. Main St. He was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka after he surrendered at about 10:45 p.m.
The incident began about 7:30 p.m. when the man, armed with a rifle, burst into the store. Witnesses said people ran from the store. Charles McGee of Apopka watched from a nearby store as employees crawled through the pharmacy drive-through window to escape.
"I've never seen anything like it," he said. "We didn't know what was going on."
The Orange County sheriff's SWAT team was called to coax the man out of the store. Apopka police Officer Jerome Miller said the man was not being cooperative and hung up whenever an officer tried to reach him by phone.
At first, authorities were unsure whether a pharmacist remained in the store as a hostage. Miller later said the pharmacist slipped out a back door.
Police blocked off a four-square-block area surrounding the store, bringing traffic on U.S. Highway 441 to a crawl
Me back again
This is just one of several incidents that have happened at Pharmacy's around my area. I have been with Walgreens for 23 years, and I have never felt as worried about my/my co-workers safety as I am these days. And the sad thing is, our company has at least 6 cameras placed throughout the stores, but they are pointed at the EMPLOYEES, not the customers.( our loss prevention seems to think there is more of a "loss threat" from us!) I guess it will take one of us getting shot to change their way of thinking. Thankfully, no one was hurt this time, but what about tommorrow??????
Food for thought this day. Peace, KC
