Not Good!

My mother once asked me why I said I was nervous sometimes at work. This( and things like it) are why:

From the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper

From Sentinel staff reports
Posted November 30, 2004

Customers and employees fled an Apopka drugstore Monday night when an armed man stormed the business, authorities said.

The man, thought to be in his 40s, took a handful of prescription pills just before surrendering to police after the hourslong standoff at Walgreens, 125 E. Main St. He was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka after he surrendered at about 10:45 p.m.

The incident began about 7:30 p.m. when the man, armed with a rifle, burst into the store. Witnesses said people ran from the store. Charles McGee of Apopka watched from a nearby store as employees crawled through the pharmacy drive-through window to escape.

"I've never seen anything like it," he said. "We didn't know what was going on."

The Orange County sheriff's SWAT team was called to coax the man out of the store. Apopka police Officer Jerome Miller said the man was not being cooperative and hung up whenever an officer tried to reach him by phone.

At first, authorities were unsure whether a pharmacist remained in the store as a hostage. Miller later said the pharmacist slipped out a back door.

Police blocked off a four-square-block area surrounding the store, bringing traffic on U.S. Highway 441 to a crawl

Me back again

This is just one of several incidents that have happened at Pharmacy's around my area. I have been with Walgreens for 23 years, and I have never felt as worried about my/my co-workers safety as I am these days. And the sad thing is, our company has at least 6 cameras placed throughout the stores, but they are pointed at the EMPLOYEES, not the customers.( our loss prevention seems to think there is more of a "loss threat" from us!) I guess it will take one of us getting shot to change their way of thinking. Thankfully, no one was hurt this time, but what about tommorrow??????
Food for thought this day. Peace, KC

Monday, Monday...

Yes, I'm still here, though a little worse for wear lol!
Spent the last weekend doing absolutely nothing. Not that I didn't want to, mind. I had all these plans: X-mas decorations, maybe a trip to the local arts & crafts festival ( great for x-mas gifts!) some time with friends and family. WRONG! Chemo, in a word SUCKS!
Thanksgiving was ok, we went to my Mom's house. And although we had ham instead of turkey ( because of the "taste" the chemo leaves in my mouth, she thought it would taste better to me- Mom is always right!) We had a good time. Friday came and I could not move. Nope, the "dementors" had sucked out all my energy, and a little of my soul. ( Harry Potter fans will understand ;-)) I literally had to convince myself that is was necessary to get up to use the facilities. UGH! I don't think I've ever felt that drained in all my life. And I stayed that way almost all weekend! I just managed to get 2 loads of laundry done yesterday afternoon, while hubby was watching the " 1st-round-draft-pick-playoff game" which pitted his somewhat-beloved Dolphins against the 49er's.Kim, Robin, I feel for you both. Really, Jon wanted you all to win (* wink wink*) but such is life. He said to tell you all that NEXT year, it will get better.
Today, needless to say, I feel better, though not up to "full-speed". I have to get the Christmas stuff organized, so that hubby can put up the lights when he gets home ( P.S. to Rhonda, HE gets on the roof, I supervise- what am I, Stupid? hehehe!) Then perhaps, if I still have it, we'll start on the inside. I have to find a place to put the tree, the kid's computer is where we used to put it, and I have no idea where to go next. Oh well, sitting on the couch contemplating it will not drain my energies, Huh? And in the meantime I can put tinsel on my gargoyles around the house, and get out my collection of "Kris mooses". And I have to dig out my cards and start that process. I just pray my next treatment doesn't hit me like that again, because Jon's company Christmas party is 3 days after. SIGH!
Off I go to E-Shop! Happy Monday all! Peace, KC

Better Late than Never1

Sorry I'm posting this so late, but hubby and I figured out that the 2nd, and 3rd days after my Chemo, my energy levels are at the lowest ebb. So I sort of "Lazed" the day away ( MY BAD!) I had hoped to get the X-mas lights up outside today, but I guess that will wait until tommorrow. In the mean time, IT'S FRIDAY!!

Some observations on Life!

Now that food has replaced sex in my life, even I can't get into my own
pants.

Marriage changes passion. Suddenly you're in bed with a relative.

I saw a woman wearing a sweat shirt with "Guess" on it.
So I said "Implants?" She hit me.

How come we choose from just two people to run for president and 50 for Miss
America?

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend
will be sitting next to you saying, "Darn...that was fun!"

I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose-fitting
clothing. If I HAD any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in
the first place!

When I was young we used to go "skinny dipping," now I just "chunky dunk."

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the
difference.

Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply
press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?

Wouldn't you know it...brain cells come and brain cells go, but FAT cells
live forever.

Peace, KC!

Thank you to Rhonda, I think this was really interesting!

KC, you're a Type 9 - The Negotiator

Friends, family, and colleagues likely appreciate this unpretentious way about you and admire the good-natured approach you can take to relationships and life in general. They're also apt to know that when they come to you with a problem, you can be counted on to be reassuring and patient. As a Negotiator, you're likely to be seen as a good moderator and communicator who emphasizes finding equitable, amicable resolutions to problems.

Being a member of this type puts you in good company. Whoopi Goldberg, a champion of progressive social causes, and the late Jim Hensen, an inspirational dreamer and world-renowned puppeteer, are also Type 9s.

This means that compared to the eight other Enneagram types, you have a strong sense of inner peace and stability that drives you to resolve conflicts, or potential conflicts, in your path. You're someone who can probably be committed to healing yourself and others while balancing yourself with a happiness that comes from life's simple pleasures.
Ill be back later, with the usual. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! KC

Happy Thanksgiving!

To all of you!
And just a little good news to empart. I saw my Dr. today, and he told me my PET scan was totally negative. Which means, basically, that the cancer has NOT spread anywhere else! WOO HOO #1! And my blood levels are ( in his words ) PERFECT. WOO HOO #2! I will be having one more Chemo after today, around mid-December, then my surgery should be in the beginning of January. ( after the holidays- WOO HOO #3) The one bit of bad news is after surgery- 4 more rounds of Chemo. Bleh! Oh well, the good outweighs the bad, so who am I to biotch, right?
We will be going to my Mom's tomorrow for dinner, so I may or may not be back until sometime this weekend. Just thought you all would want to know what we'll be thankful for this year ;-). May you all have a safe, happy, fun-filled holiday. If your driving, please be careful, and I hope to "see" you all back in "blogland" safe and sound ( if a little stuffed lol !)

Monday Rant time!

We ended up not going back to the BIL's yesterday, because we forgot one very important thing: Andy's science project was due today. Now for my rant ( SORRY!)
Why are these necessary? What's the F*CKING point of these? I know, every child should learn about the scientific process. Hypothesis, experiment, conclusion etc. But the sorry fact is, parents are the ones ( especially at the elementary level) that end up doing most of the work. I am not alone in this. Everyone I know, that has children in school have bitched about these things.
Now, this is not just a report on their experiment. They must do a display board ( with pics, graphs/graphics, art etc.) and are graded NOT JUST on the experiment ( which is easy enough), But on the display board itself! If you just so happen to be artistic, or a graphic designer, your child will have a nicer, more appealing display; I.E. a better grade! But if you are not so endowed, or, horror of horrors- Have no computer ( I know, that most do, but some still can not afford one) YOUR CHILD IS SCREWED! I remember when Becky was younger, we hadn't yet spent the money on a computer. She was embarrassed to take in her board, because all of her friends had such fancy graphics and such, whereas her's was so "dull"! When she reached middle school, and had a choice ( report OR board ) she got A's on her projects, having done just the reports.
Now, I took my son ( this is his 1st time doing a board) to the bus stop, and sure enough! There were several kids with boards much fancier than his. His face dropped, he looked at me with a small smile and said- " You did you best Mom." ( I did the title graphics and such - NOT his experiment, mind). I'm sorry son, I did my best. But why should I have gone away from there with tears in MY eyes! Why couldn't one of us been born with an artistic gene? I'm sorry, but it isn't fair! I can only hope his teacher sees past the graphics to the experiment itself, but I'm not hopeful, because it would be a first ( in my experience, anyway).
I am now gonna go to my workpad, and play around with paint, in the hopes of not putting another one of my kids through this again. I ask you- do you think it' fair to do this to a 10 year old????????????????????????

Peace, KC

Just a pic! ( or Two!)

Just in case you wanted to see Saturday nite in Melbourne Beach, Fla....

A "Fine" group of Gents! ( sorry, couldn't resist! )

Some supposed "adults" after wine, beer, and entirely too much food!!

Had a great time with family and friends! P.S., that's Jon on my left, with some of the "In-laws". ( I'm the one... well, look at the shirts and guess!)
Going back over there today, because the "west-coast" contingent leaves tommorrow. I will be back later! Take care of you! Peace, KC!

Happy Saturday!

The family went over to my Brother-in-law's house last night, to see the "west-coast" contingent of the family. They only get down here every other year, so there was a lot of catching up to do, especially for the kids. Much food, drink, and fun was had by all! I do love my hubby's family, they are sooo much fun!
As I mentioned in a previous post, they are from Seattle-ish ( actually, Renton Washington ) and Jon's father lives out there as well. we were talking about the fact that Dad is getting up there in age ( 86, I think ) and he hasn't been able to travel down to see us since, well, I was pregnant with Andy at the time ( he's now 10!) With 3 kids though, the finances just won't allow plane fare, etc. for all of us to go. Now "A" ( B-I-L from WA ) offered to fly Becky out for a High School graduation present, which is 3 years away. His wife "D" wasn't content with that, so then it was decided that BOTH my older kids would be flown out NEXT summer ( on them!) Long story short, It looks like all of us will be flying out to Seattle, probably around July 4 next summer. Everyone is convinced that we HAVE to go, and "donations" to the cause have been made. I don't know if I feel comfortable taking these "donations", but I really would like my kids to see their granddad before..well, you know. But I was brought up to " neither a borrower, or lender be".
A question for you all ( a poll if you will) If you were in my shoes- would you take the "donations" and go? ( even if it bent your principles a little) or no?
I'll try to get some good pics today, as we are all ( along with A LOT of friends) getting together again today. I finished my meds this morning, so I'll even get to "party' a bit. Let me know what you think friends, and I'll hopefully be back tommorrow. ( P.S., I told "D" about you all, and she thinks we're GREAT! Not that I didn't know that-PFFT!) Have a great day friends! Peace, KC

IT"S FRIDAY!!

And I have 2 short, but good ones! Have a laugh on me!

An old farmer in Georgia had owned a large farm for several years.
He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice; picnic tables, horseshoe courts, basketball court, etc. The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.
One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.
He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end of the pond. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"
The old man replied, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim or make you get out of the pond naked."
"I'm here to feed the alligator."

Moral: Old age and cunning will triumph over youth and enthusiasm every time.

Sorry, but I'm about to rant here!

WHAT THE F*CK!
I was just going through my on-line bills, paying my hard-earned money away, when I went to Cingulair to pay my bill, and got the shock of my life. Now, I must explain that last July, I got Becky her own phone. I know, she's a little young, but she's very trustworthy ( and HAS proved it by not abusing the priviledge, might I add). It should only cost me $10 for her line, and I figured the bill to be about $100 total. I had double checked this with a lady at the Cingulair store last week, 'cause I had to add the media package for my new camera phone.
My bill on-line read: $250.00! WTF! Called, and long story short- someone had given Becky's phone her own line, with all the buzzers and whistles that mine has, and THEN some! Now, I've had Cingulair for 6 years, and never had any problems with them. And they DID credit all that stuff back to my account, so my bill is back to where it should be. But WHO did this! WHY! I told the lady on the phone that if this crap happened again, I'd cancel my phones and go to someone else! ( thought I'd hate to, since they have the best service in my area!) They had also dropped one feature that I put on my phone last march, to get loads of text messages for a price, instead of paying per message- and that had been dropped in August!! So I have been "over-paying" my bill for months and didn't know it! Any of you that have them as your phone carrier, keep an eye on your bills- I think they have "Gremlins" in their computer system! Or someone who wants a better dividend check in their profit-sharing!
OK, that's that off my chest- Sorry! Off to find something silly to get my blood pressure back to normal. Talk at you later- KC

OK, So I gave up

Trying to keep myself from changing this Blog! Oh well, if you can't beat 'um.... I still have to update a few of the links, I think I left some out. But I'll get it done by the end of the day. Oh, and Lori- if you out there- THANK YOU! Credit where it's due and all that.
Actually, I was sort of getting frustrated with the other one. It wouldn't let me do some of the things I wanted:LIKE THIS or some of this! I could only figure out how to type in the same old, same old. I know, if I could work this thing better...!!!
Well, the rain has stopped for a while, guess I'll go out and water the garden. Let me know if you see anything missing ( like your link or something.) I don't want to get anyone P.O.'ed at me! and if anyone knows where to put the "outside links" like to DL.com, let me know.( author edit- figured that out! )

Good Morning!
One word to sum up the weekend- BORING! Not alot going on in my neck-of-the-woods. Jon and I ended up not seeing any movie last Friday. We just couldn't agree on one. He likes Sci-Fi, Scary movies, whereas I like comedy/romance types ( Big suprise there Huh?)! So we just went to lunch as bummed around town for a bit.
Went to my Brother-in-laws house Sat. nite, and I actually took my hat off while there. They didn't seem to think it was that bad, although it is pretty obvious that my hair is almost a thing of the past. I don't think I'll be showing off my "new do" in public for a while yet. Just not that comfortable with my "peach fuzz" yet.
Woke up yesterday with a headache, and since I can't just take an aspirin, I spent most of the day resting. And no Steelers on TV down here this week. BOO HISS! At least they won!!
I was supposed to go out with my Mom today, but the school just called. Seems Andy is not feeling well, so I had to go pick him up. Anyone want to bet just how long it takes for him to feel better?? My bet is by lunch, he'll be bugging the crap out of me. Oh well, I have to catch up on my housework anyway. My Brother and Sister-in-law ( I have 6 pairs of those- Hubby has a BIG family!) are flying in from Seattle this Wednesday! Should be a very fun end of the week for us- when the "clan" gets together, the party never stops! He's a native Floridian, or what we call a "real Redneck"! He and his family have a big farm over in Lakeland called the "Campbellrosa" ( ponderosa/campbellrosa- get it?) Since I used to be a Campbell, they have kind of adopted me as one of their own. The big joke in the family is that I had to marry Jon, to even things up ( Gain a Campbell/lose a Campbell sort of logic) His brother's wife is named Karen as well. Makes it real confusing after a few beers, let me tell you! Well, off to check on the son- you all take care!

Hi!
Today Hubby and I are spending the day together. He took off so we could go to the movies, lunch, whatever. So I'll probably be back later with a movie review, or just to check in and see what's up. In the mean time, it IS FRIDAY SOOOOOO......

What is the best thing about dating a homeless woman?
You can drop her off anywhere.

What is the difference between in-laws and outlaws?
Outlaws are wanted.

What should a woman say to a man she's just had sex with?
Whatever she wants. He's sleeping.

Where does virgin wool come from?
Ugly sheep.

Hoe do you spot a blind man at a nudist colony?
It isn't hard!

How can you piss off your husband while making love?
Call him from your cell phone!

What does the bride of a Polish man get that's long and hard on her wedding
night?
His last name.

What's the down side to a threesome?
You could disappoint two women instead of just one!

How do you know you're really ugly?
Dogs close their eyes when they're humping your leg!

Why are hurricanes named after women?
Because they arrive wet and wild, then leave with your house and car!

Happy Friday Friends! Peace, KC

I solved the "mirror" problem. I threw a sheet over it! I know, an easy fix. But as Jon pointed out, I won't be as "sensitive" about my looks in a week or two, and moving all that furniture for so short a time would be a bit silly. I agree, although having Big Bird and Cookie Monster stare at me is almost as bad (lol)!
Just for shits and giggles, Becky ( #1 child) and I were looking through the yellow pages. Do you know there is not a place in this county that sells wigs! WOW! The closest place is probably Orlando (which is a good 1 & 1/2 hours drive). Since I'm not in the mood to drive all that way just for a wig, I guess I'll stick with the hats and scarves routine. Easier on the wallet as well.
I decided to put a pic up of my kids. Kind of an inspiration thing. FYI for those who care, they are (left to right): Andrew, age 10, Kimberly, age 4, Rebekah, age 14. I know Rhonda had said she thought my kids were older. I had Becky when I was 31, and Kim came when I was 41.Now yes, I do know I'm a bit crazy (DUH!) but since my hubby and I didn't marry until I was 27, we kind of started late. It took him 4 years to get me to say yes to marriage ( Sagittarius that I am!), it took him MUCH longer to convince me to become a Mom! I'm glad he was/is persistant cuss though!
Well, Mom is comming over, and we're taking the kids out to shop ( on her!). They are off school today for the holiday, and we'd thought it would be nice to spend some time all together. Oh, and yes- for those who gave the ultimate for all of us:

Peace ( soon I hope!) KC

It's Hump Day!
Another day in the life, or test, as it may be. Today I go for what is called a PET scan. It will basically tell us if the Cancer is anywhere else in my body besides the "offending" breast. Dr thinks the answer is no, but this test will also determine whether or not I will need radiation, as well as Chemo treatments. I am hoping not, because that means upwards of 60 - 80 treatments, done DAILY, for the next few months. YUK! If it is just my breast involved, then radiation can be avoided, or at least kept to a minimum. ( fingers crossed you all!)I have to fast for 4 hours before my test today, which means in 10 minutes, I can have NOTHING until about 3:30 this afternoon ( not even a mint!) If you hear a rumbling in the distance.......
My hair is becoming a distant memory now. I am really glad I did cut it short, this process would have been really awful if my hair had been long. Think this way: you know how, when you brush a dog who's winter coat is shedding, you have to clean the brush every 2-3 strokes? That's me now. I sweep the bathroom every morning because there is just so much hair on the floor. I'm just about to the point where I may just shave my head. I now understand why dogs scratch so much- it itches bad! Now, I'm OK about this for the most part - I've already shed the tears. But the only thing that still bugs me is when I sit in bed. The dresser across the room- you know the one with the BIG MIRROR? It is funny to see this person in my bed that is me, but NOT me. Any suggestions? Maybe tomorrow I'll go out and see about that Red wig !
Asides to a few-
Rhonda- Thanks sweetie for the laughs- you know me well and were right on time!
Michael- you will be linked up "proper" before I leave today- WELCOME HOME!
Janis- Chin up sweetie- we think your amazing!

Well, off to get scanned. Will let you know ( when I do ) what the verdict is.
Peace, KC

Hello Folks!
Remind me NEVER to do that again! I must have a screw loose to think that I can do that much yard work, the day after Chemo, and not get wiped out by it! I could barely move yesterday, and it had nothing to do with my muscles. I am still drained, and had to drink massive quantities of water and Gatorade to try to recoupe. Just shoot me next time- PLEASE!!!!
On another note, for my fellow football fans- How about those Steelers!!?? T.O. had to have his little hisssy fit on the sidelines, and look where it got him! NO WHERE! I don't know about you, but football is getting really interesting this year. And wasn't it nice that the team of '79 got to see all that? How perfect!!
Well, I don't have too much else to add today, as I am taking it easy. I thought I'd share some pics though.
These are just 3 reasons that I am who I am:

And just to prove I do indeed garden:

And my car - Please note the license plate if you can!!

Have a good day! Peace, KC

Can you day POOPED??!!
I don't know what got into me this morning. I just looked out my window and didn't like the way the yard was looking. So, of course, I just had to grab every garden tool I own and conquer my back yard. Hacked down Lantana ( a native "weed" that grows down here like your worst enemy!) trimmed the trees, cleared and planted 3 more beds with Herbs, Veggies and such. Jon will be mowing the lawn later, and I will probably find more to do, if I can lift arms to do it. I'm having enough trouble typing this darn post lol!
At least the temperature is great. It was around 60 degrees when I got up, and should get no hotter that 75-80 today! I know, some of you up north are sneering at me right now, but sorry! This IS our fall, like it or not.
I got yet another surprise in the mail yesterday. Seems a cousin of mine that I have not seen in YEARS has heard of my little "medical problem" and sent me a batch of bath goodies. Soap, gels, bubble bathe etc. All Lavender! OHHHHHHH! Gotta love it! Now I have to kick the kids out of their bathroom and have splurge! After all the work around the yard, I'll probably need it tommorrow!
Off to finish what I started. Then get ready to see if my Steelers can do it again this week. They are playing the Eagles, who are the only ones left with a perfect record. But they are playing at Heinz Stadium, on "our" home turf. Tough to beat the Steelers at home. And maybe, just maybe, I'll get my "second wind" HEHE!
I'll be back! Have a great day friends! Peace, KC

GOOD DAY my fellow bloggers!
I just got back from Chemo and the oncologist. He is VERY impressed by my progress in my treatments. He told me that the cancer tumor is already shrinking, and my blood cell levels have NOT gone down! NO quaratine yet! He is so inpressed both by what is and IS NOT happening ( ie- I'm tolerating the treatments so well ) that he's thinking of speeding things up a bit. So now instead of waiting 1 week between the end of the meds and the next round, I will go back in 3 days. Less time off means better concentration of the meds and a stronger "battle waged"! WOOHOO! I tell you, he and I were smiling so much I thought I'd burst. He was really impressed, which, comming from him is the ultimate complement! I wanted to skip down the office hallway to Chemo, I was soooo UP!
I was so up I decided to do something fun, so I stopped by the mall to finally find that "dress" that I have been thinking of buying. You know, the sexy little black dress that goes anywhere, and makes you look like a million? I have it now!
It is not really fancy, but that's the point right? A well places scarf or some "bling-bling" and look out world, I'm comming!HEHEHE. I can't wait to show it to the hubby, I think it will give him DEFinate ideas lol!
Oh and BTW- my pay is in! No more worries that I got caught up in the corporate red tape! Now I have to figure out how to work my new phone, and I'll have it all wired. Now, on to the more important stuff, like my traditional friday funny. Love to you all for your support, and have a giggle on me! Peace friends, KC

And so it starts........
I woke up this morning, and since I am going out with Mom today I decided to wash and style my hair. After the towel dry, I noticed some "stray" hairs. Well, it's starting to fall out. Not in clumps, and not ( so far-lol!) so you'd notice once I styled it. But my hairbrush had much more hair in it than is normal. *SIGH*! Well, I knew this would happen, but the tears came anyway. I don't concider myself a vain person, I'm the "T-shirt & Jeans" sort mostly. But this has brought me down a little. My Brain keeps telling me it will be OK, while my heart is having a time accepting it. The thing is, this is just the beginning- I have a "Long, long way to go" before the light at the end of the tunnel....
I start up my meds again today. Just the one that makes me irritable and "wired". The others ( including the I.V. chemo) I restart tommorrow. I go this morning for my blood tests, to see how my red & whites cells are holding up. I may get the "quarantine" orders tommorrow if they are too low. NOT looking forward to that. And my "pay" hasn't showed up either. If it doesn't show up by this weekend, I may have to "charge" my family's groceries this week. I HATE THAT! I have 2 cards- one for emergencies ( and X- mas) and the other I call my "LEP" card. For e-bay, tickets, etc. ( you all understand, right?!) If I charge them up now- What will I do later??????
Oh well- guess this is just not my week. I'll be OK! But if you have any good jokes laying around...... Peace, KC

THANK YOU KIM!
Once again, you come to my aid! Blogger help was NO help, it took my "Fresno" friend to bail me out again!
I swear as soon as I am well, I'm gonna take that friggin' computer course! Just when I think I have this darn thing figured out.......
Well, at least now you all can read what I've written the past couple of days ( not that it will do anyone any good now!). FYI, My Son's elementary school is one of the polling places in our neighborhood. I used to vote there myself until '92, when they split some of us off to a church down the street. Did you know, it was the last place open in Brevard county last night. The last vote was cast at 11:15pm est! They were scheduled to close at 7pm! The turn out for this year's election was nothing short of amazing! Oh and for the record- Thankfully, Florida did NOT screw up the election this time. Just the word "chad" gives us all the creeps down here!( I'm sure TIG would agree with me on that!)
Hope you all have a great day! Peace, KC

I know there is a problem with my past posts.
I am typing like this to avoid the problem.
Blogger support just e-mailed that I must have fixed the problem?
Does it look fixed to you all????
And NO, I did nothing to my template in the last 2 weeks easy!
Mr/MS blogger help- LOOK AGAIN!
see the words run "under" the sidebar below?
THAT IS THE PROBLEM! Thank you
KC in FLA!

Morning all!
Just a F.Y.I. to those of you ( I HOPE ALL of you!!) who are going to vote. I have already been, and thought I'd share some insights.
1- Do not bring your cell phone in. Or if you do- turn it off! They are not allowing them, something about getting "help" while voting.
2- Dress accordingly! I.E.- if it's warm ( as it is here) take a bottle of water, dress comfortably. If it's cold, dress warmly and take a hot drink. The lines are long ( DUH!) and you will probably have to line-up outside and work your way in. They are running smoothly, but it takes time. I vote at a little church in the neighborhood, and they still managed to get 30 voting booths in that little room. They ( election officials ) KNOW the turnout is gonna be big, and they ARE prepared!
3- If you can, make sure you know who & what your voting for BEFORE you get to the booth. That way the lines KEEP moving.
4- Make sure you have your I.D. ready. They ARE checking this, and if you don't, it could take you much longer to get through the process.
5- If you are accompanied by an elderly person, or someone "physically challenged", take a lawn chair or something they can sit down on. As I said, the lines are LOOOONNNGGG, even if they are moving smoothly!
Just a few things I noticed. Have a great day! Peace, KC

Hey all!
Not much going on here, just taking a "lazy day". This is the first day that I don't have to take medication ( at least until friday, when I have my next IV treatment) and I decided to relax! this "break" is supposed to let my body build up steam for the next round of chemo- let's hope it works!
Sorry about the Halloween pics. I took more yesterday, but for some reason they came out worse that the first ones! UGH! I must have the shakes from the meds or something. Maybe I'll have Jon take them next time!
My major project this past weekend was to clean out my walk-in closet. You know, the kind that "swallows" things? I was getting dressed the other day, and saw clothes that I have not worn in years, and decided to purge- BIG TIME! 3 large trash bags later, I can now truely call it a "walk-in" closet again ( hehehe!). I can't believe what was unearthed. Reminded me of a archeology dig I went on in college lol!
Now if I can work up the energy to hit my kid's closets, we might have room for christmas!
I have yet to recieve my disability check. If I don't get it by wednesday, I'm calling Corporate to see what's up. Can't have the "Vultures" calling, can I? That's the type of thing that really sets off the Hubby. That and the political commercials that are playing ad-nauseum...........
That's it for today- oh, and don't forget tommorrow: VOTE DANG IT!!
Peace, KC
