It's Hump day!
Becky and I went down to get her a new phone yesterday. It seems that, since she's only had the phone for 8 months of a 2 year contract, we would have to pay full price for a phone. And since the cheapest was over $100, I told her tough! I'm sorry, but between the family vacation, and any concerts I may want to go to, I'm not shelling out that kind of monies for her error. She needs to learn these things, Right?! However, I had my old Nokia in my bedstand, and we put her SIM card in it and it works!! So she at least has a phone to use. Even if it has alot of ringtones on it that she doesn't care for ( DL). She'll live!
I also stopped by the local craft shop, because I've had this idea in my head the last few weeks. Hear me out and see what y'all think. You've all been on e-bay, right? And you've seen those "home-made" keychains with the Guys right? Well, I purchased 10 blank, do-it-yourself keychains. I've taken one of the pic's from the X album ( just cause it was the right size) and put "40 and fab- hear us roar" on it. I'm also gonna put a pic of Joe ( my personal fav!) on the other side, as soon as I can come up with something witty to add to it. Now, anyone interested? As I said, I bought 10 of them. I figured I'd rather make my own than pay for them. I'm going to do a "Happy Bunny" one for Becky as well. At .99 cents, it's a darn sight cheaper than buying them! Anyhoo, just a little something I'd thought I'd try. If you want one though- let me know. I'll take a pic of mine when it's done, and put it here so you can see what I mean.
I also bought a cross-stitch to make for my nephew and his wife. It's been years since I've done one, but it seems to be going fairly well, and it keeps my hands busy. I just hope I'll get it done in time. Well, with that, it's off to work. Have a good day, and I'll see you all soon!
Peace and Love, KC

So, Kate- when can I move in???????

You Belong in the UK

Blimey!

A little proper, a little saucy.

You're so witty and charming...

No one notices your curry breath

I knew this would be the outcome, as I love England. I got to live there ( Buckinghamshire) for about 6 months when I was 16, and had to be dragged kicking and screaming on the plane back home. I just loved where we lived, the history, the people!! I hope someday, I can go back. Who knows? My Jon has relatives that live in Wales, so it's entirely possible. Of course, I'd have to go a little further north, and visit Sheffield. Sort of like a visit to Mecca for us- huh?!
I'm off today, so I'm doing the housework thing. The kids are on spring break, and already off with various friends. So I have some peace and quiet to hang in. I'll be back later to check in, but right now that kitchen of mine is calling for some attention! Take care, and have a great Tuesday!!

Happy Monday!
Yseterday was ok. It was nice to see the BIL's new house. It's old, ( built in 1912- hey, that's old for Florida!) and as you can see in this pic, he's already adding on to it.

A wrap-around porch, with a new kitchen and master suite on the left side. I wom't be totally completed before his son's wedding, so there will be a tent on the lawn for most of that. And if the house isn't good enough, check out the view!

(That's Andy, BIL Joe,Jon, BIL Larry -his house!, Becky and Nephew Derek in the pic!)
This is what they call "the river" down here. It's actually the intercoastal waterway, which runs the whole way down the coast. You can fish right off his backyard- how cool is that?! Or perhaps dock you boat? Sweet! The land across is what's called "the beachside" down here. Property values double ( or more) just to live there. I don't like it there, it's just too snooty! And you have to leave everytime there's a hurricane in the area. Just pack up and leave! 'Cause if a big enough wave hits, the whole beachside is toast! Nope, give me the "mainland" anyday!!
Work was fairly slow, but what amazes me about people is their stupidity. I had a gent hand me 6 prescriptions, and state ( excitedly) that he needed them "right away!!" But when you look on the script, they were dated 1/28! WTF! You waited 2 months, and came in on a holiday, to get these "very important" scripts filled? And you expect me to do them in 5 minutes? NO WAY, Jose! I told him it would be 15 - 20 minutes. I don't work that fast, unless you want me to screw up the order! He got all pissed off, snatched them out of my hands ( and had to lean waaay across the counter to do that!) and told me to F*ck off! Happy Easter to you too Jerk! But the rest of the day was pretty good, although I still can't understand why people wait until the holiday to get there prescriptions filled. Unless it's from an emergency room or something. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, cause if we weren't open, they'd be in big trouble- right?
And then there was Becky and her cell phone. Which apparently went ( via her jean's pocket) through the wash. It is now history! I though Nokia's were better than that, but whatever. And since she is apparently not eligible yet to "upgrade", I guess it's off to the Cingulair store tomorrow to get her a new one! Shit, I really didn't need the extra expense now!
Oh, and it is rumored that I AM to be offered that promotion, although nothing has been mentioned to me "officially" yet. I'll keep you all posted. I doubt anything will be decided until Thursday , since that's her last day. I think they are all hoping she'll change her mind. I know she won't though. She's just fed up with the "BS", as she sees it.
Well, with that- I'm off to "surf" a bit before work. Hope you all have a great day.
Peace and Love, KC

Happy Saturday! I just got done coloring 2 dozen eggs. I have enough chocolate stashed in my closet right now to keep 3 pms'ing women happy for a year! Outfits for tomorrow are ready, even though I work all morning, and they will end up not being used- or better yet, be too dirty to wear out when I get home! I have to get up early, plant eggs judiciously, make up baskets, shower, change, work, come home, rush to BIL's house for Easter dinner. BLEH! This is the interesting life of a woman that's been "Married with Children" WAAAYYYYY TOO LONG!
Where are the Saturday nights of yester-year??? Oh well, I think there's a beer or two in the fridge. I think I'll have one ( Yes, I'm allowed- quit your collective worrying!!) Since I will be just a little too busy tomorrow to get here, I leave you all with this:

For those who celebrate it- Happy Easter! For those who don't, Have a great Sunday! And I hope you all have a great one! I'll see you monday A.M.

Hi All!
Well, another week, shot to hell lol ! I ended up spending all afternoon at that stupid meeting, learning how to work our computer-ordering system. Which I learned 10 years ago!!!! Thanks, Walgreens, I really needed to waste my one day off learning something I already know! That, and the usually pep talk ( "you are important, we can't do it without you, you're a valuble asset, Yada,Yada,Yada"-- Show me the money Fools! ) I did get to meet our district manager finally, and he seems like a nice guy. ( he took over in August last year, and between the hurricanes, and my disability leave, I never met him) He seems to actually remember what it's like to work at store level. That's unusual in an upper management type. We'll see if what he says holds water though. I got a round of applause when he asked who had the most time in with the company, since I officially logged my 23rd year this week.
Not a lot else is going on in my world ( nice change of pace - eh?!) I work today and Sunday, so this will be a "short" weekend for me. Oh, Yea! It's Friday.................... ;-)

Living In 2005 :
You know you're living in 2005 when...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You go home after long days at work you still answer the phone in a business manner.
7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line.
8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies.
10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.
11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.
12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.
13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen.
14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.(ME!)
16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)
17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.
19. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.
> AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself!

Have a great day everyone, I'll "see"you all this evening!!!
Peace, KC

Just stuff......
Andy was supposed to go on a field trip today to Ft. Wilderness at Disney, but his teacher just called to say it was cancelled. I figured it would be, since we are under a tornado watch through noon today, but I bet the boy is bummed big time. This is the 3rd day in a row the weather has been this bad, and it's not summer yet! I sure hope this is not "shades of things to come". If we have another year like last year, well, I'll be surfing to Atlanta!!
I have been "hog-tied" into going to a meeting tomorrow on my day OFF, after my trip to the plastic surgeon ( hereafter refered to as Dr. B) . It seems that our senior Tech has decided to leave, and since she is, I'm the one with the most time in- so I'm to go to said meeting ( it's for senior pharmacy techs). I don't know if this means I'll be offered the position. You are required to work 40 hr weeks, and I haven't in about a year, and I just can't manage that at the moment. My energy levels being what they are and all. But it would be a raise in pay, with bonuses, and I admit that the money WOULD be nice. I don't know who else they would offer the job to anyway. I'm the only one qualified in our store. If it's not me- they'd have to bring someone in from another location. And while that would be fine, it could cause some awkward situations all around. We have a very tight-knit crew that works well together, and an outsider could cause major problems. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait and see what happens?!
Oh, and the Vacation plans are coming along. We stop the first night in Savannah, up to Williamsburg for 5 days, back down to the Carolina's and perhaps Atlanta on the last night. Should be a great time. If we come close to any of you, and you want to meet for lunch or something- let me know! I'd love to put a "face" with a name!
I'm feeling much better, so maybe I can get some gardening done this weekend. I have to work 5 hours on Easter Sunday, but I get off at 2, so it's not so bad. And since I dodged working all the major holidays this year ( Thanksgiving, X-mas and New Years) It was my turn in spades!!! Especially since I will not be working the 4th of July. I guess that means I'll be working most of the comming holidays to make up. Oh well, that's life!
I have to get off this thing, get dressed and off to the "salt-mine". Have a great day!
"Later Gators!"

Well, I've done it!
Booked the first official "Fine Vacation"! We are finally going to have a real, honest-to-goodness, get-the-hell-out-of-dodge vacation! WOO HOO! We've decided on Williamsburg, VA. That way we can see some of the country while we're driving. I figure the first night somewhere in the Carolina's, then to VA by Sunday. We might even make it to DC, and see some of the sights there, while we're up north ( that IS North for us, anyway!). The only reason I hadn't booked something earlier was because I'd been waiting for tour dates. But I went ahead and picked a week when I KNOW where they'll be. That way, I won't be in VA, while they're in FLA! I can't wait- really. This poor family of mine has been through the mill this year, and I just want to see them relax and enjoy. Of course, travelling all that way with 3 kids in the backseat may take a bit of patience, but I'm up for it. It will be nice to prove to all of them that Florida isn't the only "nice" place to be! So if you watch "Capital on the 4th", look at the audience- you might see some bald chick that looks familiar......... ;-)

Just a few thoughts today...
We went to that arts festival yesterday. And while it was very nice, I didn't find anything ( that I could afford, anyway!) Why is it that everything I like is WAAAYYY overpriced?? Champagne taste on a beer budget- that's me! Oh well, better I saved the money anywho.
Jon made dinner last night ( the first time since my chemo). He even bought some shrimp, ( which is my favorite food) and I could not eat more than a few bites. GRRRRRRR, I just hate this! He goes to all that trouble, and I'm worthless. It's not that I'm not hungry- hell, my stomach is growling as I type this. But the minute the smell of food hits, it goes from hungry to upset in a second! Another day or two, and perhaps it will go away. This is longest that this problem has lasted so far. Maybe I'll loose some weight? Yea, gotta look at the bright side, right?!
I work the late shift today ( 2pm to 10 pm). I like "closing" on Mondays. It gives me a chance to finish anything I didn't get done over the weekend, and since "Major Tom" ( my boss- I've told you all about him before) closes on Mondays- there is a good chance I'll get off a little early. He's one of the few pharmacist's I know that will close up on his own. He doesn't mind checking out a register drawer, and all of that. It's not "beneath him" to do this stuff. Gotta love the guy!
A few comments on what's going on around blogland.
Rhonda- I HATE IRONING!!! If I have an article of clothing that needs the wrinkles taken out, I'll put them in the dryer with a wet washcloth. Works every time! Mostly I just don't buy "everyday" clothes that require ironing in the first place. Why make more work for myself????
Traci- Stupid people drive me crazy! Like the cops don't have enough to do?? Sheesh!
Michael- you would have loved my backyard a couple of weeks ago. we had a whole flock of Robins back there! Had to have been 100+. The kids got a kick out of watching them "playing around" .
Jude- MAXINE ROCKS!! "Nuff said!
Steph- gotta love kids! My Kimmie would have done the same, so don't feel so bad about it. I'm sure that's not the first time that's happened, if those switches are as low as you say
That's all I can think of at the moment. Oh Yea, one other thing............

Happy Birthday Terri! May your day be filled with peace, love and laughter. You deserve it! {{{{HUG}}}}}

"Later, Gators!"
Peace and Love, KC

You Are Bold And Brave

But daring? Not usually?

You tend to like to make calculated risks.

So while you may not be base jumping any time soon...

You are up for whatever's new and (a little) exciting!

Yea, that's me! No bungie jumping, but I'll not always take the safest route either.

Happy Saturday! Well, I managed a half a PB & J sandwich last night. Not much, I grant- but at least it stayed down!! And today I get ( well, we all get!) and new toy- A DVR! Woo Hoo! No more major arguements over what show to watch. We do have 3 TV's in the house, but the livingroom one is the biggest, and has all the DVD, VCR, stereo, etc. connected to it! So if there is something on that we want to tape, that starts the fights. Becky has started getting into taping/watching all the Green Day/ Good Charlotte/Simple Plan ...... shows on TV. Meanwhile, yours truly- well, You know ;-) . And since VH1 in notorious for putting "our boys" on at 2 am in morning, this will be a god-send! I'm paying the extra money ( just $10 ) to have them come and set it up. That way I will be able to tape shows off the machine. I was told if it wasn't hooked up properly, it wouldn't work. And I would hate to have to figure THAT out on my own, so it's worth the money!
Jon and Andy are off this morning to a chess tournament! Yes, my son loves chess. Go figure, none of the rest of us really play the game. I did when I was younger, and he has my old board with him ( for luck), but I haven't really played in years. I'll let you all know how he did.
I'm going to spend the rest of the morning just goofing off on-line. Since I don't have to fight the boys for this thing- I'm going to enjoy it! Have a great day! Peace and Love, KC

"..................I've got Friday on my mind...."
Sorry, I heard that song in the car this morning, and now it's stuck in my head. And as misery wants company..... hehehe!
Well, I'm doing ok. I still can't really eat, but perhaps later today. Meanwhile, my hubby and his crew ( he's a surveyor, btw) have been collecting Pepsi caps for me, so I can get some free tunes for my I-Pod. I have to load them in this morning and go "shopping"! I haven't really loaded any of my CD's on it yet. I have loaded all the DL concerts, bootlegs, b-sides and such that I had on my computer. I tend to go for single tracks/songs that I like, while not wanting the whole album. The only problem with that is sometimes I have a hard time remembering which artist/song title it is that I want- when I'm actually ON I-tunes! I just hate CRS ! Really!
The visit at the dr. went well. I now am actually starting to see some "progress". Though I am not ready for reconstruction, at least I am starting to "balance out". At least there's enough that my bra will not "slide" up when I raise my arm on that side. ( sorry if that's a bit graphic, but some of you had wanted to know.) Another month or so, and I should at least look normal. And he said I've healed really well, so that surgery should go very smoothly. Good- 'cause I'm so not looking forward to getting cut open again. Look you all, I'm not gonna preach. But if all you women friends of mine are not getting checked for this- I'm gonna fly to you and kick your butts into next year! If "seeing" what I'm going through has not convinced you- well then I don't know what else would! Even my stubborn, bullheaded mother has gone for a mammo. And believe me, that was something for the record books!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to post something about the Terri Schiavo case today, but since I already put my opinion up on Tig's comments, I'll refrain here. Suffice it to say, I hope she gets to finally rest in peace.
Well, It's Friday. I have a couple for you all today. And to my NY, and Canadian readers: I in no way endorse, approve, or practice those tactics listed below. Really, I don't! I LOVE you tourists/snowbirds! Send us some more- the last one's tasted great!! ( Tig- would you agree!??)
:-)

A Floridian, a New Yorker and a Canadian are in a bar one night having a beer.
The New Yorker drinks his beer and suddenly throws his glass in the air, pulls out a gun and shoots the glass to pieces. He says "In New York our glasses are so cheap that we don't need to drink from the same one twice".
The Canadian (obviously impressed by this) drinks his beer, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the glass to pieces. He says "In Canada we have so much sand to make the glasses that we don't need to drink out of the same glass twice either'.
The Floridian, cool as a cucumber, picks up his beer and drinks it, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the New Yorker and the Canadian. He says "In Florida we have so many New Yorkers and Canadians that we don't need to drink with the same ones twice".

A husband and wife are traveling by car from Key West to Boston.
After almost twenty-four hours on the road, they're too tired to continue and they decide to stop for a rest. They stop at a nice hotel and take a room, but they only plan to sleep for four hours and then get back on the road.
When they checked out four hours later, the desk clerk hands them a bill for $350.The man explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel but the rooms certainly aren't worth $350.When the clerk tells him $350 is the standard rate the man insists on speaking to the Manager.
The Manager appears, listens to the man, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for the husband and wife to use. But we didn't use them", the man complains. "Well, they are here, and you could have," explains the Manager.
He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. "The best entertainers from New York, Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here," the Manager says."But we didn't go to any of those shows," complains the man again. "Well, we have them, and you could have",the Manager replies.
No matter what facility the Manager mentions, the man replies, "But we didn't use it!"The Manager is unmoved, and eventually the man gives up and agrees to pay.
He writes a check and gives it to the Manager. The Manager is surprised when he looks at the check. "But sir," he says, "this check is only made out for $50.""That's right," says the man. "I charged you $300 for sleeping with my wife."
"But I didn't!" exclaims the Manager.
Well," the man replies, "she was here, and you could have."

Have a great Friday! Peace and Love- KC

In Honor of the day... A post in green!
This is my second attempt at this post- is anyone else having a blogger problem? Oh well, I'm off to the plastic surgeon today ( to get "pumped up"). If I'm up to it, I may take Andy to lunch, otherwise, I'll come home and play with I-tunes.
It's been raining since yesterday afternoon, so the weather is simpathetic to the Irish lol ! And to add insult to injury, the Air Force base annex 1/2 mile from my home is having training excercises today. So it sounds like the 4th of July x 100 outside! Sheesh, I'm glad I'm not trying to sleep right now!
A few sayings for you all;

May the grass grow long on the road to Hell for the want of use!

Dance as though no one is watching you,
Love as though you have never loved before,
Sing as though no one can hear you,
And live as though Heaven's on earth!

May you be buried in a casket made of a 100 year old Oak-- that I plant today!

May the hinges on our friendship never grow rusty

And at last: There are two types of people in this world: the Irish, and those that wish they were!

Have a Guiness on me friends! Happy St. Patrick's day!

Love and Peace! KC

I'm back!
And so far, I'm ok. Just feeling a little "funky", but the meds do that. And the Dr. said I'm doing wonderfully. My blood counts were "great", and he's already planning my end-of-treatment tests and such. It seems that I will be going back to see him every couple of months for at least the first year. Then probably every 6 months after that. But he seems to think that I've got this thing licked ( although until all the tests are done, this is NOT confirmed- so don't get your hopes up yet!). But it was nice to hear. He also told me that there is nothing he can do about the foot/leg pain I've been having. Time will have to take care of that. I guess I'll have to walk like a dork for a little longer....... **sigh**
Scott Peterson got the death penalty- GOOD! I really was pretty sure he'd get it. Now they just have to find the right "roommate" for him. I vote for big, hairy, ugly, with a major attitude, and a thing for guys!!! That would be good for starters.
I think I'm gonna let Andy stay home with me tomorrow. He's been really good, and it IS his turn. That way I'll have someone to ride with me to the P.S.'s office in the morning. It's a long drive alone. And that should get him off my back about it. I also need to grill him on what he wants for his birthday. I know he's hoping for DL tickets ( which he got 2 years ago- Bless him!)
But unless Mark and the "Boys" cough up, he'll have to settle for a video game. Oh well, he's not the only one hoping.... ;-)
I'm gonna go lay down now. That way maybe I'll be up to doing some stuff tomorrow. Oh, but if I'm not- I leave you with this:

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Take care of YOU! Love and Peace, KC

Monday Stuff.....
Not much to say today. I took your advice, and spent the weekend resting. And I worked the early shift today, which for once went ok. The only problem was that every P.I.T.A. customer we have called- and I answered the phone!! PFFT! Couldn't happen to a nicer lady......
I work again tomorrow, then Weds. I have my 3rd Chemo treatment. Since this is the one that knocked me for a loop last time, I ( and my co-workers agreed) that I will be off the rest of the week. So I have time to regroup. But hopefully I will have enough energy to get on this thing. We'll have to see.
I'm also hoping that I'll have enough energy to work in the garden a little. Right now it looks like a "weed-fest", and I have to get in the spring planting before the temps down here get into "scorch" mode. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
I did manage to do a little shopping over the weekend. I bought some new shoes , and a watch ( Disney, with Eeyore on the face!) My co-workers now KNOW I'm crazy. ( as if there was any doubt!!) Just little 'ol me, hanging on to my "inner- child" :-p
I check back in later, and let you know how things are going. Take care of YOU! Peace, KC

TGIF!!
And boy am I glad! This week has turned into a marathon, and I was not prepared to run it. One of our co-workers ( she who was hired to fill in while I was out on disablility) has gone out on disablitily herself. She's 3 months pregnant, and having problems. While we all feel for her, we also know that the chances of her returning are slim-to-none. She moved up here from the Ft. Lauderdale area last fall, to be close to her Grandmother- who has recently passed away. And she was forever complaining about living here. Not enough to do, too "tranquil" etc. So we think ( and have sources telling us the same) that by the time her "time" comes, she will be back down south. So we are 1 person down. Which, granted, doesn't sound like much- but there are only 2 full time ( 40 hours) one 35 hour ( me!) and 1 part time(15hrs) tech, to handle 95 hours per week. That means most days- NO overlap. We do 300+ prescriptions per day!! We type, fill, answer phones, and handle cash registers at both the inside counter, and the drive-thru window! OUCH! the last 2 days, I had to work 10 hour shifts! Not to mention, 2 of the other techs are full time students, whose schedules are such that flexability of work hours are not an option. We really need to hire someone fast! 'Cause I can't ( at this time) keep up these hours! Everything on my body is still aching from the last few days. And I still work 2 - 10 this evening. I don't know what they're gonna do next week, when I have my Chemo. I doubt I'll be able to work the next 2-3 days after........
Well, off my soapbox now- and it's Friday! So this week's "Giggle fest!" have a great weekend! Peace and Love! KC

ORDERING PIZZA IN 2008 This is so close to what is probably going to be happening in 2008 that we're not sure how funny this really is...

Operator: Thank you for calling Pizza Hut. May I have your national ID number?
Customer: Hi, I'd like to place an order
Operator: I must have your NIDN first, sir.
Customer: My National ID Number, yeah, hold on, eh, it's 6102049998-45-54610.
Operator: Thank you Mr Sheehan. I see you live at 1742 Meadowland Drive, and the phone number is 494-2366. Your office number over at Lincoln Insurance is 745-2302 and your cell number is 266-2566. Email address is sheehan@home.net. Which number are you calling from sir?
Customer: Huh? I'm at home. Where'd you get all this information?
Operator: We're wired into the HSS, sir.
Customer: The HSS, what is that?
Operator: We're wired into the Homeland Security System, sir. This will add only 15 seconds to your ordering time.
Customer: (sighs) Oh well, I'd like to order a couple of your All-Meat Special pizzas.
Operator: I don't think that's a good idea, sir.
Customer: Whaddya mean?
Operator: Sir, your medical records and commode sensors indicate that you've got very high blood pressure and extremely high cholesterol. Your National Health Care provider won't allow such an unhealthy choice.
Customer: What?!?! What do you recommend, then?
Operator: You might try our low-fat Soybean Pizza. I'm sure you'll like it.
Customer: What makes you think I'd like something like that?
Operator: Well, you checked out 'Gourmet Soybean Recipes' from your local library last week, sir. That's why I made the suggestion.
Customer: All right, all right. Give me two family-sized ones, then.
Operator: That should be plenty for you, your wife and your four kids. Your 2 dogs can finish the crusts, sir. Your total is $49.99.
Customer: Lemme give you my credit card number.
Operator: I'm sorry sir, but I'm afraid you'll have to pay in cash. Your credit card balance is over its limit
Customer: I'll run over to the ATM and get some cash before your driver gets here.
Operator: That won't work either, sir. Your checking account is overdrawn also.
Customer: Never mind! Just send the pizzas. I'll have the cash ready. How long will it take? Operator: We're running a little behind, sir. It'll be about 45 minutes, sir. If you're in a hurry you might want to pick'em up while you're out getting the cash, but then, carrying pizzas on a motorcycle can be a little awkward.
Customer: Wait! How do you know I ride a scooter?
Operator: It says here you're in arrears on your car payments, so your car got repo'ed. But your Harley's paid for and you just filled the tank yesterday.
Customer: Well, I'll be a #%#^^&$%^$@#
Operator: I'd advise watching your language, sir. You've already got a July 4, 2003 conviction for cussing out a cop and another one I see here in September for contempt at your hearing for cussing at a judge. Oh yes, I see here that you just got out from a 90 day stay in the State Correctional Facility. Is this your first pizza since your return to society?
Customer: (speechless)
Operator: Will there be anything else, sir?
Customer: Yes, I have a coupon for a free 2 liter of Coke..
Operator: I'm sorry sir, but our ad's exclusionary clause prevents us from offering free soda to diabetics. The New Constitution prohibits this.

Thank you for calling Pizza Hut.

Thank You!
For all of you that have offered. Really! I'm keeping them in mind. I discussed this with the hubby last night, and while he is fully aware of my need to see the band, he wants me to wait and see about the "other" dates before I make any decisions. He had hoped that maybe they would play somewhere that a "family vacation" could be included with the trip. This was news to me- but I have to "play along". To keep the peace, mind. Hopefully, the rest of the concert dates won't be too long in coming. I'd hate to wait too long, and not get any tickets! That would really piss me off! But he had hoped maybe- Atlanta, or someplace. So he and the girls could do some fun things, while Andy and I got "rocked". And he's worried about the money. I can see his point. It does seem that whenever we spend monies on something "frivilous" ( not in MY mind- but you get his drift) then suddenly, we need the money for something important. I.E.- I spend the money on airfare, concert etc.- and the car/fridge/something big breaks down! ( Murphy lives at my house!!) So to give him a little peace-of-mind, I have to wait a little. It would be SOOOO much easier if he were a Lep fan too! ***SIGH****
But I do promise ( yes, add the rest of the line- you know it well!) I will get it all sorted out asap. Maybe I should show him my money stash? But then again, that would be letting him know too much. Can't have that, can we??!! And I have to admit, Andy is really pissed. He went with me to West Palm Beach to see them last tour. He had so much fun, not only seeing the guys, but meeting the other "on-line" people. He couldn't believe that so many different age/sex/types of people could get together, and have such an instant rapport. One had even travelled all the way from Australia! He was the youngest in the bunch ( though Kat's son is 2 years older that him) and the oldest was... well.. She wouldn't appreciate me telling! But older than me! He really wants to go again. I don't blame him- can you?
Well, it's time to get my sorry butt dressed and off to work. I just wanted to let all of you know what's up. And to thank you for your kindness! I'll "see" you all soon! Love and Peace- KC

Color me Depressed!!!!!

Well, the tour dates are up! And so far- none even CLOSE to me. Nothing in the southeast whatsoever!!!! We have enough baseball stadiums ! Half the major league teams have their spring training here!! And to add insult to injury, the only date I see in any of your ( my fellow bloggers) towns I know of is Kim, and that one is on the same day that my only nephew is getting married! So that one is not possible. Shoot! Darn! *$&%$##%^&! I really need a new hobby, you know!? ( I wonder if Derek will change his wedding date? RIIIIGGGHHTT KC, think again stupid!) As if the gods had nothing better to do....................... !!!
So I guess I'll have to wait, and pray, that the "solo" dates will offer up some better/closer venues. Unless anyone has any suggestions/offers forthcoming. Anyone want a visitor? I'm house-broken,I don't eat much, and I do dishes lol! I think I'll go watch a video. Maybe ITR/IYF. It might be the closest I'll get to our boys anytime soon......

Tomorrow,Tomorrow..........!!!!!!!!
That darn song keeps going through my head. I happen to be off Monday, and if they post the tour dates ( as per the rumors!) I will begin in ernest to plan my summer. The Dr. assures me I will be "done" as of mid-May. I hope there is at least one date in Fl. For my son's sake. He wants to see DL again, almost as badly as I do! And then I will look to see where else I can go. My "fun-money" Jar is very "fluffy"! I have been a very good girl ( well, for me anyway! I HAVE! Really! Stop the snickering-- I hear you! Especially you Janine! ;-) ) I WILL be going to another date. I don't know where though. It all depends on them. I am determined to have a "Lep-trek" this time out. I think I've earned it, you know!?
We had Kimmie's "family" birthday party yesterday. It wasn't as good as I'd hoped. You see, only her grandmother was able to be there. My B&SIL , with whom we spend most of our Saturday's have the flu. And the others are all off to Daytona's infamous "Bike Week". So her party was a bit under-attended. But she made out like a bandit anyway. Behold the Princess in her Castle:

Pretty cool, Huh? She also got a laptop Barbie computer, and some really cute outfits. I didn't get her a whole lot of toys, since she is still having issues with cleaning up after herself . *sigh* I wish she'd grow out of that phase fast!
Well the laundry's calling. I will be back here, bright and early tomorrow morning. I wonder if you can sleep with your fingers and toes crossed?????????.....
Love and Peace, KC

Just another day in paradise........
Sorry I've been absent, but the first few days of the month are always too busy at work. We do more scripts in the first 3 days, than most pharmacies see in a month. 400 to 500!! And the phones are just crazy. How can you answer 5 phones, with just 2 people on?? Between the retirees that have just gotten their checks, and the state medicaid patients who's monthly allotments are in- it's all we can do to keep up. And at least 1/3 of these RX's have some problem attached( needing insurance approvals, or overrides!) And of course, everyone wants their 15 RX's NOW!! Not tommorrow, NOW! I swear, I broke down yesterday and asked this one patient ( who had 10 scripts to fill, and wanted them A.S.A.P!)," would you like them fast? Or would you like them done right??!! Now, granted, if a parent comes in with an obviously sick child, we will push that one ahead. We are all parents, and are simpathetic. But I can't work up the same sympathy for someone who is a known drug-abuser "jonesing" for their Lortab fix! Sorry, you can wait fool! You already have had enough to kill an elephant. 20 minutes is not going to kill you!
We actually had a doctor come into our pharmacy the other day, asking ( Ok, yelling actually!) why we will not fill his prescriptions. Well, everyone coming out of his office gets the same 4 drugs: Xanax,Lortab,Soma & Valium! And though they are written as a month's supply- they get the scripts every WEEK! Now, everyone that goes there can't possibly have the same problem- RIGHT??!! He's nothing but a licensed "enabler". We had to call the local police in , and have it explained to him that we could refuse any script we wanted, for whatever reason, and did not have to explain ourselfs. He apparently has been doing this "rant" in alot of the local pharmacies. You would think he'd get the hint!
Well, it IS Friday. Have a giggle on me!

NEW PRODUCT AT WAL-MART!!!!!!!!

WalMart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item: WalMart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto, California, to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2-5 range. While wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of WalMart brand wine into their shopping carts, there is a market for cheap wine, said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. She said: "The right name is important."

So, here we go...

The top 13 suggested names for WalMart Wine:

13. Chateau du Traileur Parc
12. White Trashfindel
11. Big Red Gulp
10. Grape Expectations
9. Domaine Wal-Mart "Merde du Pays"
8. NASCARbernet
7. Chef Boyardeaux
6. Peanut Noir
5. Chateau des Moines
4. I Can't Believe It's Not Vinegar!
3. World Championship Riesling
2. Sams Shiraz

And the number 1 name for WalMart Wine ...
1. Nasti Spumante!!!

The beauty of WalMart wine is that it can be served with both white meat (Possum) and red meat (squirrel). Make sure to vote on your favorite name at a WalMart near you

*****Me again- Have any good ones to add?? Bring 'em on!
Have a great Friday friends! Peace and Love, KC

* EDIT* A new addition to the list- "Queasporter", from Jude!!!

Tuesday Two'fer!!!
Well, another week, off and running! Just a couple of things I wish to "talk" about. While they're still fresh in my mind.
The first we all ( well, most of us!) know about. Joe's little rant. I won't post my opnion of this on the OF, as everyone there is getting a bit rowdy, but I have 2 feelings about this. First is, I can see Joe's point. Why review an unfinished work? While no review has ever stopped me from buying or listening to anything, I can see why he feels that any review of the "covers album" would be premature- at best. And I am not upset by Joe's language. If you had ever heard my Jon's temper- well, let's just say that Joe doen't shock me. And having seen some of his rants in the past, that's just Joe being normal. After thinking about the whole situation, it does seem to me ( JMHO here) that some of Joe's anger should be directed towards whomever sent out that CD to begin with. Mr Melodic Rock is all the way in Australia, I do find it hard to believe that he "stole" said CD. Someone with less that stellar morals/ intentions ( not quite the words I was looking for, but it's 8 am darn it!) had to have sent it to him. Now, having said that, should MR. M.R. reviewed it- indepth, and printed for the world to see?! No, I don't believe that he should have. Perhaps an abreviated review, in the vein of :" I heard the CD, and while some tracks are good, some need more work... Yada,yada,yada.." Unless , of course, written/verbal permission was given to do the review in the first place. I don't think that it was. Hence the "war" over said review. Should Joe have "gone off " on Mr M.R.? That's his choice. I don't know if it was a good or bad one. But Joe has always been the type to defend ( to the hilt!) his family, friends and most especially the bands work. So it's no big surprise. I would give my eye teeth to know who leaked that CD though! Agree, disagree. We will probably never know the whole truth. But it's something to talk about during this "down" time with the band.......
Second- I take you back a few years. Late summer, 1999. I had been to the doctor for a check-up. Just your average visit. I get a call at work " your blood tests are back- did you know your pregnant?? " WTF??? I'm 40 years old- We weren't... -Uh- ARE YOU SURE!!??? . OMG! Bear in mind please- we already had 2 kids ( 1 of each), our youngest had just entered elementary school ( no more daycare bills!) and we had started talking about more time together, vacations with the monies saved, etc. I told Jon that night, and he sat there in shock. I swear, he didn't say a word for 24 hours! The next day, I'd had enough. I said to him- "say something! Yell, curse, rant- Anything!" He then replied " when is the blessed event?". Flash forward-- March 1, 2000. Our "gift" arrived. 7 lbs, girl, big blue eyes. Our little "Oops!" What started as a shock, became a joy..............................

Happy 5th Birthday, Kimberly Alyse Fine! I wish you Sunshine, Smiles, and Rainbows! May your life be as joyous as your laugh, and your heart always full of Love and Happiness! ( I know mine is! )
Mommy :-)
