I really didn't think I would have anything to say today.... Until I remembered something---
That is exactly 1 year ago today that I started this blog. This was my first post:
...........................................................................
Well, this is a stretch for me- Mrs Tech-Challenged 2004! I must be out of my mind to start this, but then again I have been called crazy more than once in this life! I don't know how much I'll have to share so bear with me! I know that I will try not to be unfair to any person in my scope of friends- and will not spread gossip or slander anyone ! I only hope I will have something meaningful to say on occasion. WISH ME LUCK!!!!! KC in Fla
..............................................................................................
Well, hasn't A LOT changed in 1 year. Did I EVER have something to say?! Of course, had the option been mine, I'd've rather not had all THAT to talk about! But I do notice 2 things:
1- I don't think I've "slandered" anyone on this blog. Well, maybe our x-manager, but that doesn't count. I meant my friends after all.
2- I am no longer "tech-challenged"! Well, OK, I won't be working for Microsoft anytime soon. But concidering this time last year- I didn't know what HTML was- I think my knowledge of the computer has come a LOOOONNNGGGG way! I mean, I can actually tweek my blog, play with pictures, and have all kinds of neat graphics on my side bar- Who'd've thunk it???!!!

I've also met/learned alot about people from this thing. Good/bad/whatever. And made some wonderful friends. One's that, truth be told, I don't think I could have gotten through this last year without. I know my family is here for me, but in a strange way- YOU ALL are a part of my family. An Online family that I wouldn't trade for all the tea in China. You have shared your lives, your dreams and your secrets with me. You have laughed, cried and yelled both with me, and on my behalf. ( damn, I had to go get a tissue after I re-read that-sorry!) Turns out, my last year was anything but boring ( how I wish It had been!) But you all have stood by me, and given me the strength that I never knew I had in me. Honestly, had it not been for this and you all, I don't think I could have made it through this last year with my sanity intact. ( or my sense of humor- such as it is!)
For all of that- BLESS YOU ALL!
So on to year 2. May we all have a year filled with Love, Smiles, Peace & Happiness! (Oh, AND LEPPARD of course!)
From my computer to yours-{{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}}} Thanks! KC in FLA :-)

HUMP DAY!!!
And I'm off ( from work that is)! But I've got a full day ahead, so this will be short. I just got done loading a crap-load of CD's on to my I-Pod for the trip. I don't want to take massive CD's in the car, since that would be taking a chance of them getting ripped off. I now have to go with Becky, and meet my mom. Becky's Birthday is while we'll be away, so this is the day we get her presents. At least this way- I don't have to wrap them lol! And then back to the house to clean. At least the kids did the majority of it yesterday, so I just have to dust and vacuum. THANK GOD!
I'll be back later to let you know what Becky "scored" -- Til Later......KC

Well, we're back! And Becky got herself ( thanks to Mom) her very own I-Pod mini!!! Now she can load all of her music on her own, and no more portable CD player/batteries/arguements on what to listen to in the car! I just have to figure out how to separate her music on I-tunes from mine. ( I think it already is, but I want to make sure before she loads it!) She also got some books and CD's that she really wanted. Good haul for her all in all!
So now she and I will be "battling" over the computer the next few days to get them "loaded" for the trip. The house is basically cleaned. I just have to finish laundry. And get packed. And get my son's friend over here so he can learn where the dogfood is etc, ( he's watching the dog and fish while we're away) Too much to do- and no time left it seems!
Oh and Mom's going to make sure she's off the night of the 22nd, so I can "roadtrip" hubby down to Hollywood FL. For a certain concert ;-)! So I guess plans are all made, now let's just hope that the gods don't decide to play with me again!!
I go see the Dr. tomorrow morning, and hopefully I'll know when my next surgery will be. I'll be glad to be finished with all of that. That will truly be the cherry on top of the "sundae" that is my summer!!!
Hope you all are having a great day! Catch you all soon! Peace, KC

P.P.S.- Geez! 2 hours and lots of cuss words later, we finally got Becky's I-Pod working! I had to adjust about 10 settings on the computer, and set her up as an administrater! Who knew that she couldn't even download a darn CD in any other "mode"??? Darn, but that wasted time and had the both of us worried. I mean, $200 for an I-Pod, and to not have it work?! Bogus! Ok.ok. it's fixed, but darn, that was frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Rude Awakenings...
I really have to find out about the "sound ordinance" in this town. I had a rough day yesterday ( which I will explain in a moment) and thought to get a little "extra" sleep this morning. Well, I was awakened by a Cement truck at 6 am!! WTF?! They are building a new home right behind me, and this jerk was gunning his engine, and shifting the truck around ( making those annoying squeaking metal noises- you know?) at the crack of dawn! Truth be told, I don't think the sun HAD begun to rise yet!! Geez, is that legal? And to add insult to injury, he ended up bringing the truck up onto the lot, driving right to the back of his lot- A.K.A the back of MINE( and my bedroom is in the back of the house btw)- and then proceeded to gun his engine some more! All this before 7am. So much for my sleep today. I'm gonna ask around, and if this happens again- I'm going to report his sorry butt! I'm sorry, I understand that the weather down here has been bad. Thunderstorms starting at noon, and rain all the rest of the day- BUT TOUGH! That doesn't give you the right to wake the "dead"( which believe me, I was this morning!). GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Yesterday just plain sucked! I was scheduled to work 11am- 7:30pm. I decided to take Kim down to daycare early , so I could come back, get breakfast, and go to work at an easy pace. NOT TO BE! My cell phone rang ( this is important- had it been my land line, I would have known NOT to answer!) and a pharmacist I like asked if I would come down to her store, and help out for a few hours. She was extremely short handed, and her store had been hit by lightening Sunday. So of course I said yes. Well, it was a mad-house! Tripping over workmen trying to put the place back together, and just me, her, one other tech and a guy that barely speaks English! Lot's of pissed-off customers, since we had no insulin! ( no power- no fridge!) I worked there until 2, and then drove like a nut back to my own store to finish out my shift. At least I got an hour's overtime out of it. I think I'd've liked the "me-time" better though.
And of course, I came home to a mess! Livingroom, Kitchen ( the sinks are/were full of dirty dishes!). Becky didn't empty the dishwasher ( her chore!) and I'm not doing it for her. I'm sick and tired of picking up the slack around here. She'll just have to do the WHOLE kitchen herself today- pay backs are a bitch!
I'm off tomorrow, so now I will have to clean house ( AGAIN!) along with all those things I needed to do to get ready for vacation. Oh and Sandy, if your reading this- e-mail me your # sweetie, so maybe we can meet up while I'm up your way- I'd love to meet you!!
That's all for now, I've got to get my tired rear into gear. I hope today is better- or you all will probably get an "earful" again tomorrow!
Love and Peace to all! KC

Another week begins.....
Well, mine actually started yesterday. I had decided on Friday to pull the Sunday shift. Why? Well, with our vacation coming up, I will need the time off later in the week to get laundry/packing done. And I kept hearing the other girls saying how they'd have to work 2-3 weekends in a row. Well, I got a case of the "Guilties", since my vacation is part of the reason for that. So I volunteered to work. ( Note to self: STOP THAT!) This way I have both Weds. AND Friday off to do what needs be done before we leave. Which should be easier on me in the long run.
So this is the first chance I've had to get on this thing since Friday. Which is very unusual for me. A big THANKS first to Kim, who sent me a CD of her DL pics! I'll get mine to you as soon as I have the time to get them together- I PROMISE! Life has just been too busy for me to have much "fun" time. Which, I suppose, I shouldn't complain about.
I also received an e-mail from Scar, letting me know that he has those tickets he promised me! I will probably have to wait until after I get back from vacation to meet him and pick them up though. And to break the news to hubby that he's going to a DL concert. Devon can't go, she has a prior family commitment ( and plane tickets already paid for!). But she's really pissed she can't go- I don't blame her! I just hope I don't get too much flak from Jon about it. We're already spending monies on the trip, it would be like him to complain about this. **SIGH**
We've been dealing with an unusual problem at work, and I don't know what to do. It seems that a family of raccoons had made it's home in the woods behind our store. Which is fine, except they are using our dumpster & trash cans as their feeding stations! I left work the other night, and noticed I was being "watched" from the can out in front of the store! 2 sets of beady little eyes, which belonged to 2 little raccoon cubs. I mentioned it to management, who are aware of the "problem" - but have no idea how to solve it. Now, don't you all think they should call animal control? Catch said "family", and take them somewhere away from here? I mean, I know they're cute and all, but the gods forbid one of our customers goes to throw something out and gets bitten!!! And I heard that that almost happened to one of the clerks the other day while taking out the trash! Not to mention, if they are caught in the dumpster when Waste Management comes....... UGH! I think they need a new home- PRONTO! Well, maybe I'll take this up with our new manager. He may be more inclined to help than the last bozo did.

And to prove to you all that my life is anything but "normal"...

Kimmie came to me, and asked me why I had to go to the Dr.s this week. ( she has been told that mommy is done taking all the "bad medicines") I told her he was the one that will put mommy "back together again". Well, she just came up to me as I was typing this, and asked me if I had my new "Booby" yet??!! Out of the mouths of babes.......

P.S.- I just heard the news that the man who "voiced" Tigger ( one of my favs!) has died. Not the way to start a Monday. RIP Mr. Winchell, you will live on in our memories.

Hope you all have a great Monday, I'll catch you all later! Peace and Love to all! KC

P.P.S.- I just received this pic from my cousin Rae- It's just what I needed, a giggle to start the week- ENJOY!

More Eye Candy!!!

DRIZZLE, DRAZZLE, DRUM........
Well, it's been raining all week. And now they're saying it's gonna rain all weekend. BLEH! I swear, the only good thing about all this is we won't be having any wildfires this year. The ground is so soaked, that I don't think anything could catch!
Not much else to say today. I'll work on some pics on the weekend, and see what I can come up with. With vacation comming, next week I'll need to do laundry/cleaning/prep work while I'm home. I also have to re-program the audio blog # in my phone. They've changed it ( for those of you who haven't heard) and that will be the only way I'll be able to get here while we're traveling.
I don't work until noon, but I want to stop by my local Wal-mart on my way in. I hear they have the new book in my favorite "Dark Hunter's" series in ( 2 weeks early!) and I need something to read! So that's my morning shot!
And it's Friday! A "2-Fer" day. I haven't been getting alot of jokes lately, so I'm getting to the bottom of the well where that's concerned. The first is from one of the Dark-hunter Yahoo groups, the second from my roomie Janine:

A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks in the sweetest little lisp, between two missing teeth, "Excuthe me, mithter, do you haf widdle wabbits?"As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees so that he's onher level and asks, "Do you want a widdle white wabbit, or a thoft and furwy bwack wabbit, or maybe one like that cute widdle bwown wabbit over there?"She, in turn, blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says in a tiny, quiet voice, "I don't tink my python weally gives a thit."

Now one we can all relate to!

****This is an important warning! ****************
Be alert!*There is a new virus. The code name is WORK.
If you receive WORK from your colleagues, your boss, via e-mail, or fromanyone else, do not touch it under any circumstances.
This virus wipes out your private life completely. If you should happen to come in contact with this virus, take two friends and go straight to the nearest bar. Order drinks immediately and after three rounds, you will find that WORK has been completely deleted from your system.
Forward this virus warning immediately to at least five friends. Should you realize you do not have five friends, this means you are already infected bythis virus and WORK already controls your life.
If this is the case, go tothe bar and stay until you make at least five friends. Then retry. I think I have five friends, but am not entirely positive, so I'm headed forthe bar anyway . . .
it never hurts to be safe.

Peace and Love to all! KC

Caution- EYE CANDY ALERT!!!!

Ok, maybe one more???

HaHa! Well, at least I managed to "salvage" a few more. And I go today to get a disc made from Andy's prints. I don't know if I'll get any more, but hey- it's worth a shot!
A fe bits of good news ( well for me, anywho!) First, we have a new manager at our store. Mr. P. seems to be a really nice guy! Thankfully, since our last 2 managers were less than stellar people. He's the type that believes that a happy crew, makes better workers. Now, I know that that seems like a "DUH" to most, but the last few managers we've had couldn't have given a hoot what we wanted/needed. It was their way- or the highway. I was probably the only person that got any kind of concideration- and I had to get CANCER to receive it!!! ( I heard that even with that, Major Tom had to get in his face to get my disability paperwork filed. And call the district office on him!!) Mr. P., on the otherhand, is already talking to everyone. Getting to know us all, about our families, lives and such. So ( his words) he can make work as pleasant as he can for all of us! Oh, and did I mention that he's a drummer? And guess who his favorite is???!! He just about died when he'd heard where I was last week! I think that's why he was so helpful about Andy's pics. He wants copies of all the good ones! Needless to say he's already earned some "brownie points" with me.
Oh and while I was leaving work last night, I got a call from Scar. Seems he has 2 tickets to the Hollywood, FL. show with my name on them!!! They're steep- $180. But I'm going! Because at the end of the day, I don't care. I'll work some overtime. Kiss hubbies butt. Whatever! But this is the first time that I will be able to see more than one show in a tour- AND I'M DOING IT! I just have to figure out where to stay down there. I'd love to stay at the Hard Rock, but a room there is going for $200 a night! Too rich for my blood, especially after all I will probably spend on the family vacation. So I have to find someplace more reasonable. I also have to find out if Devon wants to come. I'm giving her 1st dibbs on the ticket, since she said she would LOVE to see them again. But with her limited budget, I'm not sure the more expensive ticket, along with sharing the hotel cost, will be in her reach. If not, I'm dragging the Hubby. I believe it's about time he saw them ( in concert). Maybe I can use the "weekend away from the kids" ploy. Mom would be happy to babysit the kids that night. So wish me luck with all that!
Well, I have to get dressed. Take Kimmie to daycare ( it's water play day for her!) And get some stuff done around here. Enjoy your day! I'll be back later to surf around!
Peace and Love to all- KC

Howdy you all!
Well, let's see, what's new in my world? Oh yea, yesterday was my LAST radiation treatments- WOO HOO! Hopefully, once all the tests are done, I will only have reconstructive surgery left. And then the nightmare will be over!!!!!! I see Dr. B next Thursday, and my oncologist the day after I get back from Virginia, and then I will know more. But I think I'm seeing light at the end of a VERY LONG tunnel, and that's a good thing!
I have yet to get to the rest of my DL pictures. This past weekend, while I didn't have to work, was so busy that I was lucky to get my house cleaned. Spent all day Sat. driving around town, trying to find the griddle that Jon wanted as a Father's day gift. And found ZIP! They were either too small, or to flimzy for him. So it looks like a job for "google" afterall. And Sunday, due to Father's day- Jon had the computer all day, playing his games. So it looks like I won't be able to get on here (for any length of time) to work on the pics until Thursday this week. ( that's my next day off) So you all will just have to wait.
Oh, and the Idiot that developed Andy's camera did it all wrong! I bought one of those disposible cameras that came with the free CD disc. Well, I asked for one set of prints ( which I really didn't want- I just wanted the disc!) and I got 2 sets- AND NO DISC! She screwed up the order entirely! So now I have to take this mess to MY store, and hope that they can "fix" it! The thing is- because it was a disposable, I need the disc to be able to "zoom" the pictures, and make them worth something. He got what looks like some good shots, but they're distant, and need work. The prints are pretty much worthless, just all black with a little "Lep" in the middle. ***SIGH***
Some good news- Devon came by the store yesterday, and she is TOTALLY HOOKED! She told me the boy's haven't been out of her CD player since last Wednesday, and she said next time- just buy the tickets, she is SO THERE! I told hubby he is now officially "off the hook", I have someone to go get my "Lep-fix" with me now lol! I still have to burn a copy of my Tesla CD for her, and maybe recomend some "catch-up" listening ( Slang, Euphoria, etc) . But "Major Tom" has said " Oh NO- Another Lep-0-holic! Hehehe- I'm just a bad influence Huh?!
Well, that's all for today. I work the early shift tomorrow as well, and so I think I probably won't be back until Thursday morning. You all take care, I'll probably "pop" back in late tonight, to see if you all are still around. Peace and Love to you all, KC

P.S.- My 5 yr old Kimmie just came in my room, with her CD player- singing "Pour Some Sugar On Me" at the top of her lungs! I don't know whether to be proud, or embarrassed by that. I mean- "I'm hot, sticky sweet......." doesn't sound the same from a 5 year old, does it? Does make one stop to think though....... ;-)

Well, what a handsome Irishman, No?
I have a few other pics, but these are the only ones that came out clear from the get-go! I'll spend some time this weekend trying to "clean-up" the other ones. I just hope I know how! Oh and I forgot about the disposible that Andy took shots with. I'll get that developed today. He was standing on his chair, so perhaps his will be less crowd, and more band?? I can only hope!
I'm still riding the "High" that is DL, and am in heavy negotiations to buy those 2 tickets from Scar. Jon will probably have a cow, but since I am planning this as a weekend "get-away" for the 2 of us, perhaps that will calm him a bit. And if he comes, perhaps he'll see why I'm just crazy about this band. ( I know- I'm a dreamer- SO SHOOT ME!) How I can drool over Joe Elliott, with him standing next to me though, is still something I'll have to work out!
I went to my treatment this morning, and the tech was worried about the "burns" I have. She said that I will have to use massive amounts of Aloe on them this weekend, to avoid infection. Since my last treatment is Monday, I don't think it will come to that. But I don't want to add "Insult to injury" so my poor Aloe plant is toast! I'll probably smell really weird this weekend, but if it works........................
Well, it's Friday! So without any further ado, your weekly "giggle"----

( My appoligies to any of you guys that read my blog- but most of the jokes come from women, so what can you expect?????)

> Subject: To Make The Ladies Happy!
Why do men pee standing up?
God was just about done creating man, but he had two things left over in his bag and He couldn't quite decide how to split them between Adam and Eve.
He thought He might just as well ask them. He told them one of the things He had left was a thing that would allow the owner to pee while standing up.
"It's a very handy thing,"God told them, "and I was wondering if either one of you had a preference for it."
Well, Adam jumped up and down and begged, "Oh, please give that to me! I'd love to be able to do that! It seems like just the sort of thing a man should have. Please! Pleeease! Give it to me!"
On and on he went like an excited little boy. Eve just smiled and told God that if Adam really wanted it so badly, he could have it.
So God gave Adam the thing that allowed him to pee standing up.
Adam was so excited he just started whizzing all over the place- first on the side of a rock, then he wrote his name in the sand, and then he tried to see if he could hit a stump ten feet away -
laughing with delight all the while.
God and Eve watched him with amusement and then God said to Eve,
"Well, I guess you're kind of stuck with the last thing I have left."
"What's it called?" asked Eve.
"Brains," said God.

Have a great weekend all! Peace, Love and Rock 'N Roll to you all! KC

P.S.- No, your eyes are not deceiving you! I finally got around to making the font-type larger on this darn thing. I figured if even I had to wear my glasses to read my own blog- the type was just too flippin' small!
P.S.S.- I have recieved an e-mail that my SIL in Seattle sent. It seems that she's sent a link to my blog to all the "clan" and in-laws. So HI CAMPBELL CLAN! You all can comment if you like, you don't need a blog or e-mail- just type away!! I'd love to hear from you all ( to my "twin" Karen- our pic is down below- just scroll down sweetie :-) )!!!!!

Ok, Ok, I know! But I have had a bit of a "morning-after" so you all just had to wait.......
OMFG! The show was just AMAZING! But I think I'm jumping the gun here, so to start:
Devon, Andy and I left around 3, hoping to meet up with some people at the venue. About half way there, I got a call from Scar, who wanted to find a place to eat before the show. LOOONNNGGG story short, we all met up at the Roadhouse Grill. It was great to meet some of the people from the OF. Now I have faces to go with the "names", and if I want to go to the show in Hollywood, FL, later in July, Scar has 2 extra tickets!! So I have to call Dr.'s and find out if I can make that one as well!
By the time dinner was over, Mother nature was doing her usual thing. Rain and Lightning was everywhere! So there went our "Tailgate Party" ***SIGH*** I swear, some times I wonder what I did to piss off the Gods! Anywho, got to the venue, and spotted the WHTQ van parked right out front. So of course, I had to go bug my favorite DJ! Chris was really nice, and truth be told, a lot nicer looking than his pic on the site ( and if you reading this Chris- HAHAHA!! Get a new pic up there Dude!)
Went inside, bought my "booty" ( a ROA shirt, Baseball Jersey, and program!) And found our seats. Then I notice that someone I remember is sitting not 4 seats down- KAT! Wow, take me back. She was one of the girls I met back in West Palm for the X tour! Great to see her and her son David, and then she helped me find Robin ( aka- Deflepgrannie) As you can see, time just melts away...................

So the show starts! Tesla were very good, though I'm not familiar with all of their songs- they really know how to work the crowd. And the singer is constantly saying how wonderful it is to be back opening for Def Leppard. How it's a "re-union" tour of sorts, and they couldn't be more pleased to be playing with them again! Wonderful stuff! They left the stage, and it was off to get a beer, and mingle alittle more. All of a sudden- lights out, and HERE WE GO!

HOLY HECK! They just blew us all away! I was a little bummed that Joe didn't come over to our side as much as I'd liked ( Like the whole damn show!!) but they really did a wonderful job of covering all parts of the stage. And although I'd heard ( on the OF) that there was "Boo'ing" going on during GOW, none of that happened last nite! It was just one big "rock party"!
The only thing I am now down about, is that when I went this morning to get the pictures off my brother's camera, about 1/2 of the ones I took never showed up??!! And a lot of them are too blurry to print! Especially ( DAMN IT ALL!) the one I tried to take when Joe was posing on our side of the stage. I guess the nearness of him got to my shaky hands. Oh well, the memory is in my head, so no one can get that!
After the show, Kat, Robin and I made for the Buses! Stood around for about an hour. Saw Sav go out, and Malvin walk back and forth. We were just about to holler for them to come over, when Security made us leave! They said the guys weren't coming out to sign anything, and we needed to get off the property NOW! A**HOLES! I heard one of them talking about being tired and wanting to go home. So I think this was their way of getting us to leave, so the band would leave, and THEY could leave. PFFFFTTT! Personally- I think that guy needs to get a new job!
All in all, a wonderful time was had by all! And Devon said we REALLY have to do this again sometime, and why the heck didn't I drag her to the last tour?????!! I think I have a new "concert-buddy"! She was rocking out with me just a hard. Pretty impressive for a girl that's been into Hip-hop and Rap for the last few years! Me thinks I've made a "convert" out of her!
Then again, maybe she's figured out what we've known all along:

Def Leppard ROOOOCCCKKKKSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Just got an e-mail from Chris ( afore mentioned DJ- HI CHRIS!!) He seemed to agree with me:

Hey Kc,

What great photos! I love your website too. That concert was just so good. The sound, the crowd, what energy.

Good to meet you and hopefully I'll start seeing you at more of our events.

Chris

Answer back at you- YOU BETCHA!!!!! ;-)

Ok.....
I've got my car cleaned. Cooler in trunk. My outfit is ready to put on. I just got off the phone with Silver Spurs, and the lady said that the digital cameras ARE allowed! So I just have to eat some lunch- and wait for Devon to get here. Andy has been bouncing off the walls all morning ( can you blame him???) And all I have left to say is:

I'm ready to "GET ROCKED"!!!!!!!!!

I will be calling you Kim, if they play Slang, oh and if there is another request, just text me before the show. I heard that my favorite DJ will be broadcasting "live" outside the arena, so I'm gonna bust his chops before the show. I'll get a pic of him too, if he lets me. Have a great "Hump Day" everyone! I know I will :-)
Peace and Love, and Rock 'n Roll to all!!! KC

Ok, can I start this week over again?????
I know, but things have just not been off to a good start this week. Let me explain:
1- I have been told that I am up for the "promotion" to Senior Tech. Tom had meant to ask me, but as I suspected, because of my "health issues", he held off. Which means both Sabrina & I would share the load. OK, no problem with me! But for some reason that defies logic, Walgreens has lost my Certification paperwork. So I have to fax my copies to them. No problem- right? Well, I can't find the damn things!!! I think they must have been "mis-laid" during the hurricanes last year. You see, part of evacuation procedure is that you take all important documents with you. And now the file cabinet where we keep all that stuff is a big mess. And, of course, my papers are missing!!!! DARN IT! So I had to e-mail to the federal office website to get copies. Which will take ALOT of time. SHEESH!
2- I went to the trouble to borrow my BIL's camera for the concert tomorrow. Now I get an e-mail from them saying that they have changed their policy to NO PROFFESIONAL CAMERAS. Does this mean digital cameras as well??? So now I will have to call them tomorrow before I leave, and get the final "scoop" on whether I should bother bringing the darn thing! All they said to me was to bring a disposable, but we all know those aren't worth a crap inside a venue. At least I have my phone, but that will be a BIG pain to transfer all the pics from-- **SIGH**
3- I was just on the OF, and it seems that the restarant where we were all planning to meet at has closed???!!! ( Just 3 days ago!) SHIT! Didn't the lady who took our reservations ( she was supposedly the Kitchen Manager!!) know this was going to happen? Now we have to try and find another place at the last minute, or just "tail-gate" in the parking lot. In 90+ degree heat. In possible thunderstorms. SHIT!
4- I found out that my last day of treatments will be Monday. This because I took that "day-off" the other week, since my cough was so bad.
So, if I'm not as hyped as I should be, you all know why. But I will not let this whole mess get to me. I WILL build that bridge, and get over it. Because in the end, it's......

1 day until DEF LEPPARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace and Love to all, KC

Hi all!
Yes, I've been getting some rest this weekend. And aside from the cough that refuses to leave, I'm just fine ( no pun intended). We had to go to Walmart yesterday, to get a fish tank. Why? Well, we inherited a Betta fish from the wedding. You see, on the tables were these centerpieces, with palm fronds and such, and in each a Betta. Well, when all was said and done, these poor critters needed homes, so we took one. Behold the newest member of the Fine family:

He doesn't have a name yet. Kimmie wants to name him Nemo, but since he's not a clown fish, that was shot down by the rest of the family. Any suggestions?
Oh, and just for Shit's and Giggles, I thought you all would like to see why motherhood, as it is, is never boring-
My son, the serious man of the house:

And my very girlie, very sedate Kimmie:

Now I ask you- do you understand why I'm such a loon?? How could a Mother not be proud of my highly intelligent, loving, studious children. And why my threat to put them all up on E-bay has gone undone? Really, I only threaten them with that.. Oh.. 2 or 3 times a week! **sigh***

Well, I work all day tomorrow, so I probably won't be back here until Tuesday. I hope you all have a good monday ( is that possible?) And oh, yea, I almost forgot...........

3 days until Def Leppard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday!
And I'm just soooo glad the weekend's here. I have so much to catch up with around here, it's beyond rediculous. And since the weather has gone back to crap, the kids are gonna help me get this place cleaned up. Jon wants to "bomb" the kitchen with bug spray today, and he has already emptied all the cabinets. You see, living down here, bugs are a MAJOR problem. You have to keep up with the sprays, or they get in and you have the devil's own time getting rid of them. So we will have to have the whole house cleaned, swept and vacuumed before he gets home today. Which is a good thing- that will leave the rest of the weekend for some much-needed rest! And since the weather ( thanks to that darn storm south of us) is going to be lousy all weekend, I should get in some much needed "nap-time". I have a couple of good books just waiting for me on my bedside table....
Oh and next week I am only working 2 days ( Monday & Tuesday) Cause Weds. is THE CONCERT! And I took the next day off to recoup ( and deal with any pics I may get!). Andy is gettting so excited, and so am I. Devon has called a few times as well, trying to get her schedule down for her babysitter. This next week is going to see me very happy. 5 more treatments, and a Def Leppard concert. I ask you- can it get any better??? NOT!
So I leave you all today with what I hope will be a great start to your weekends. If your off to see the show ( RHONDA!) have a great time. And the rest of you, be happy!

Sunday on the river in Melbourne, Fl.

I know, I haven't been here. I'm still recouping from this last weekend. Aside from my tiredness, because we were elsewhere, none of my normal "cleaning" got done. So I've been trying to catch up during the week. So I've only had enough energy to just check in on all of you, and make sure all was well in blogland. I'm working tonight, and then have the rest of the weekend off. I'll be better by then, and won't be so long between visits!
Today is the first day in about 2 weeks that I actually woke up to the sun! The weather down here has just been CRAP - and I hear we may get a tropical storm this weekend???? WTF? Didn't we get enough of this LAST YEAR??!!! Jeez, we never get this shite this early in the season, it just doesn't happen! Well, at least it won't be a hurricane. Hopefully......
I am really getting tired of the radiation treatments. Every morning, up at the crack of dawn, and haul my sorry butt clear across town for 10 minutes of treatment. I'm glad it's almost over, I think 9 months of chemicals have finally gotten to me! Oh, and the cream I got has been helping with the burns, so at least I don't have to go braless! The public is so pleased I'm sure!!
Well, I have one other pic I'd like to share,( for now)

The 2 Karen Campbells!
That's right! We both share a name (sort of). My eldest SIL married a Campbell, and this is his brother's wife. I on the other hand, WAS a Campbell. Until I married a Fine. Sort of a trade-off of sorts ( at least that's what we call it!)"You get one, you loose one" sort of deal. So we have the running joke in the family. And she and I get on like a house on fire- which is great. When I first met them all, I was officially "adopted" into their family, since I had no "clan" around here. They're a great bunch of "Florida redneck" type of people- real "salt of the earth!" You just can't be down around them, they're just too much fun. (actually, after last weekend, perhaps TOO much fun lol!) Anyway, I like the pic so........
Well, I'd better get off this thing, and see if my clothes are dry. Wouldn't do for me to go "topless" to work- might scare off the customers. Then again, a peaceful day at work doesn't sound all that bad...... ;-)
Peace and Love to you all! KC

Not much time today, I have to get to work, and just got back from radiation. I am starting to get the "burns" from the treatments though. BLEH! I got a RX for some cream that's supposed to help, so we'll see. But I did want to put in this "gentle" reminder:
8 Days 'til DEF LEPPARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace all, KC :-)

Hi!
God, I am exhausted! This weekend was absolutely one BIG party. It will probably take me a few days to get over it all. Though it was great to see all the family again. Not only my father-in-law, and his new wife, but my B & SIL, and his family that came over from Lakeland. And as usual, there was more food, booze and general craziness than I am used to these days. God, I'm really getting old- I just don't have what it takes to keep up with that anymore ;-).
The wedding was beautiful, even though the weather has been terrible all weekend. The rain did manage to stop just in time, and stayed away for the majority of Saturday afternoon. But It's been pouring all day since. Hell, it's pouring right now, with no end in sight. I will post some wedding pics when I can, but I may have to wait until one of my BIL's send me some. Andy, who was in charge of bringing my camera- left it at home. So the only one's I have are from my cellphone, and with the crappy lighting ( thanks to mother nature) most did not come out!

Not too clear, I know. But the weather was the worst! Oh and something I thought I'd never see in this life:

My father in law, and his grandson- playing chess!
He hasn't been down here since a week before Andy was born!! And there they were, like old friends, playing chess. Andy one the first game Sat., and then they had a re-match yesterday, and Sid got his back! But it was really cool to see this. Oh, and Andy caught his first fish Saturday as well. Although it was a puffer, and had to be thrown back, it was still cool to see!
Well, I have to go to treatment, I'll try and get on here later tonight and post more. But I'm it dire need of CAFFEINE! Peace to all, KC
P.S.- Kim, the pics are AWESOME! Glad to hear you had a great time sweetie, and I WILL call you if they play Slang! 9 days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heaven Is:

I know it's fuzzy, but I took it at 6am!! It was funny to see me last night when I got home. It was about 10:30pm, I was tired, still feeling the affects of this darn cold ( though I'm much better, thanks!). Andy comes up to me, asks me how my day went- and would I like a "pick-me-up"? When I said yes, he holds up the UPS envelope. I grabbed it and we both proceeded to do the "happy little silly dance" all around the kitchen! We must have looked like a couple of lunatics, but WTF, it felt good!!! 12 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!
Today starts what for me will be a very busy weekend. I have to spend today getting the 2 youngest clothes for the wedding. And since my Father-in-law, and eldest B & SIL, who all live in Seattle are in, we will be going over to see them this evening ( at the house on the river, you know- I showed you all pics??) Then tomorrow is the wedding, which- knowing this family- will be an all day affair. And we will probably go over there Sunday as well. It's been a long time since Jon's Dad has been down here, and I want the kids to spend as much time as possible with him. He's not getting any younger......
So I don't know whether I'll get back here before, say, Sunday. So I'll leave you all with the traditional Friday Funny, And I hope you all have a great weekend!
Oh, and Kim? I'll be waiting for that picture sweetie! Have a great time ( DUH!) and we want ALL THE DETAILS when you get back! Oh, and don't wear out Joe, he'll need his energy for us! (j/k- NOT!) hehehehe.

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband
and asked for $ 20, for their first lovemaking encounter :
In his highly aroused state, her husband readily agreed. This scenario was
repeated each time they made love, for the next 30 years, with him thinking
that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other
incidentals that she needed.
Arriving home around noon one day, she was surprised to find her husband
in a very drunken state : Over the next few minutes, he explained
That his company had gone through a process of corporate downsizing, and
he had been let go - It was unlikely that at the age of 55, he'd be
able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been
earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.
Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed thirty years
of deposits and interest totaling nearly $ 1 million. Then, she showed
him stock certificates issued by the bank which were worth over
$2 million, and informed him that they were the largest stockholders in the bank.
She explained that for 30 years, she had charged him for sex and
these holdings were the results of her savings and investments.
Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $ 3 million,
her husband was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he
found his voice and blurted out "If I'd had any idea what you were doing,
I would have given you all my business !"
You know, sometimes, men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.....

Peace and Love to you all! KC

I'm posting this quickly, since we are under a Tornado watch through 11am today. And knowing Florida Power & Light ( A.K.A. Florida Pillage & Loot!), my power may not last very long!!

I took today off. I am just feeling like crap, having spent the vast majority of the night hacking up my lungs. I have a Dr. appointment at 11:30, with my "regular" Dr. to get some drugs. I can't be feeling this way come Saturday, or the wedding will not be a lot of fun for me & mine. And with the rain coming down as it is, I am probably going to "skip" radiation this morning as well. Besides, I have to be totally still while "laid-out" and I don't think I can with this cough. At least, I couldn't do it all last nite *sigh*.
But at least I got some good news this morning. I logged on to check my e-mail, and low and behold- My Tickets are on their way!! I should have them by the end of the week. Now I just have to survive until the 15th.
And I leave you all with this picture, taken from my front stoop this morning. I took it @ 7:30am, and it had been raining about 10 minutes. I think I may need a boat to get to the Dr.s today........

Bear in mind, that in the next hour or so, my road will totally disappear! And we were totally dry not 20 minutes before I took it!
Have a good day all, I'll catch you later. Peace and Love, KC

P.S.- I just went to one of the local radio stations websites- www.mix1051.com , and on their Mix music page (which only lists the top 10 songs played btw!) - No Matter What! Since they were the only station that played "Now", before the last tour, and THAT ONE never made the list- this is a good sign! I may feel like crap, but I'm smiling :-)

P.S.S.- ( I know, the power's hanging on!) This past month, whtq ( that station where my fav. DJ works) has had everyone voting on the best "classic rock songs". Well, our guys made this list 10 times! Not bad for a underappreciated band Eh? Oh and look! They actually made #4 on the list!! And only beat by Zeppelin ( they would not mind that- I think) and Skynyrd ( Florida's own band!!)
10 SPRINGSTEEN, BRUCE Born To Run
9 SEGER, BOB Turn The Page
8 PINK FLOYD Time
7 AC/DC Back In Black
6 LED ZEPPELIN Kashmir
5 PINK FLOYD Money
4 DEF LEPPARD Pour Some Sugar On Me
3 LED ZEPPELIN Rock & Roll
2 LYNYRD SKYNYRD Free Bird
1 LED ZEPPELIN Stairway To Heaven

Others that made it:
81- Photograph
116-Foolin'
163-Rock of Ages
198- Bringin' on the Heartbreak
217- Rocket
339-Animal
433-Hysteria
464- To Late for Love
487- Love Bites
I found this interesting. Especially since the poll only listed 100 songs ( you could "write-in" a candidate) and PSSOM was the ONLY one listed for DL. Which means all the rest were suggested by the fans. And you could only vote once! which means there are a heck of alot more DL fans in central Florida than I thought. Things that make you go "HMMMMMM"!
