I have a new toy ;-)
A Dyson, all area vacuum.
( isn't it awful- This gets me excited???!!! What does that say about my life???)
The vacuum I had ( a Hoover windtunnel) was begining to die. It just kept getting clogged, and the belt kept breaking. I swear I'd replace that darn thing 4 times since New Years! So I promised myself I'd get a really good vacuum this time. This is the best! This darn Dyson would suck up the carpet if I let it. And boy- did it work like a dream. It's not cheap, but heck- when you figure in what you pay in either bags or filters- this is a good buy. No bags, the filter is WASHABLE ( I.E. no replacing the darn thing at $35 a pop!) And it works like a dream! DEFinately worth the money- IMHO!
I didn't do much this weekend. Gardening mostly, with me clearing out all the old veggies. Getting the beds ready to re-plant. The cold snap we had pretty much killed whatever was left, so I just cleared them out. I'll get around to replanting them in the next couple of weeks. We're having the last of the tomatoes, and a couple of bulbs of fennel with dinner tonight. The herbs- thankfully!- survived the freeze, and I just left them there. That, and the usual housework kept me pretty busy. So I'm just going to relax tonight. I updated my I-Pod, and downloaded some new tunes. So I think me and J.D.Robb are going to comune to the music tonight. Since I'm back to work at 10am tomorrow. Seems like a nice, easy finish to the weekend.
I wonder if anything will come of a certain e-mail I sent Friday afternoon?
If it does, I'll let you all know ;-)
