Friday- and I'm BROKE!
I spent entirely too much money yesterday. But I'm pretty much done with Kimmie, got Becky's biggie gift, and have a few for Andy as well. I only hope Hubby gets his paycheck next Friday- or we're eating PB&J's and beans and rice for a week!
Well, on to a special day for a special guitar-god:

Happy Birthday Phil Collen! Hope your having a great day, and a wonderful time relaxing after a killer tour this year!
OK- so I'm freezing my arse off right now. One of the bad things about winter in the "Sunshine State" is that the weather is a bit "schizophrenic". Which basically means that one day it's in the 80's, and the next it's in the 40's! I was shopping in my shorts yesterday- now I'm sitting here typing this in sweats! It's supposed to stay chilly for the next few days, and warm up on Monday. I remember when I was a kid- you put away your "summer wardrobe", and took out the winter stuff. Down here ( except in the summer) you have your tank tops sitting next to your sweaters! Makes it hard to fit all your clothes in one dresser- that's for sure!!! I guess that's why people are constantly getting sick down here- you can leave your house in the morning dressed for the weather- and come home to something completely different! I keep an umbrella and a hoodie in the car- just in case!
Well, enough about that. I'm sure those of you up north are thinking- "BFD KC- we're up to our arses in snow for the next 4 months!" But at least you all have a chance to "get used to the cold". Try to find warm clothes/jackets down here. Maybe in Orlando- but not over here in BFEast coast FLA. Becky wants a nice, black coat. Can't find one for looking! All they have are ski-jackets ( too warm for most weather down here) or leather ones. Which- I'm sorry- never seemed warm enough for me ( I've had 2 over this life- and I didn't find them as warm as a P-Jacket I had for years!) Besides, I'm not shelling out $200 for a coat she can wear maybe 4 days a year! I'm not totally crazy!( Stop that giggling- I hear you all!!)
Well, on to that which you all look forward to. This one is one we can all relate too! Thanks to Kat for this one! ........................................... Subject: HOW MANY LIST MEMBERS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB? One to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed. Fourteen to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how he light bulb could have been changed differently. Seven to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs. Seven more to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs. Five to flame the spell checkers. Three to correct spelling/grammar flames. Six to argue over whether it's "light bulb" or "light bulb" ... another six to condemn those six as stupid. Fifteen to claim experience in the lighting industry and give the correct spelling. Nineteen to post that this group is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb (or light bulb) forum. Eleven to defend the posting to the group saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this group. Thirty six to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty. Seven to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs. Four to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL. Three to post about links they found from the URLs that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group. Thirteen to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too". Five to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy. Four to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" Thirteen to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs" Three to tell a funny story about their cat and a light bulb. AND One group lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again. ................................. Truth hurts- don't it?!
Hope you all have a great weekend. I'm working Sunday, but I don't care- at least that means I get 2 days off next week. And it seems that I am officially off on Christmas day. Thank goodness for that! It's nice that we have so many young and older co-workers that really don't care if they work ( no kids/family/plans to deal with) Hell- some of them want to work, since they need the money more than the day off! All power to them- I've worked my fair share of Christmases over my 20+ years- let someone else have the "fun"!
Peace and Love, KC!
