Howdy!

Well, a good weekend, followed by a good day at work. Scary huh!?

We didn't do too much in the way of exciting over the weekend. But I finally got Hubby involved in the house cleaning. So much so that he acually shampoo-ed all my carpets!( can I get a WHOOPEE!!) And All the laundry done, kitchen pantry cleaned, YADA, Yada! I just hope I can keep all this stuff up ( naw, probably not!) But sure is nice to walk into my house and not cringe at my livingroom!!

The other reason I wanted things done is that I plan on spending next Sunday glued to the football. Which begs a question, aimed specifically to those of you on the West Coast. Here, the Superbowl comes on at around 6pm in the evening ( actually, the last few years it has been as late as 8 pm.) Now for the question: IF the game were to start at say- around 3-4pm here ( 12-1 pm your time on the west coast) do you think that people would still watch it? That they ( they that spend Boo-coo monies on advertising, etc) would lose money because the game is not in "Prime-time"? We were discussing that the other day. Because the game starts so late here, it's virtually impossible to have a party for the game. I mean, it won't end until about 10:30 pm, and most of the people I know have to go to work early the next morning. So staying up/out that late is just not feasable. Just wanted to hear from the "other side"- so to speak ;-).

Well, not much else going on here. I'm just keeping on , keeping on. I keep trying to find something interesting to video, but so far that just ain't happening. So I'll just wish you all a great week, and get back to my afgan, which I've just about gotten half-done. Which is a good thing, since it looks as if I'll have to do 3 of them! One for each child- otherwise they'll just fight over this one. And goodness knows they fight enough over the TV, the computer, the stereo, the game-cube, the......... ;-)

Catch you all tomorrow!
Peace and Love, KC!

A Brithday in Blogland!

Happy Birthday Lexy! Hope your day is a blast!

Well, I'm very proud of myself. As you all know, I've been having a problem with this computer, that just didn't seem to want to go away. I've tried downloading software ( directx) and chatted with numerous tech advisors both on Microsoft and HP websites. All I got was: "you have to do a full system recovery" or- "You need a new video card" and all that crap. Well, I was determined not to have to go to all that- And I found the cure! Apparently, when I loaded the SP2 patch for my XP software program, it fouled up my video card. Buried deep within the HP website, I saw this little "patch" that no one seemed to know about. Seems that my specific video card doesn't like that SP2 patch, and needed tweaking. So I downloaded the thing, and lo and behold: It WORKED! You would think that Microsoft or HP would have warned people about that BEFORE you downloaded the darn SP2 patch. Or the "geek squad" would have seen that when they had this darn thing in for service- BUT NO! Their solution was just to turn off my darn video card. Which meant anything requiring DirectX didn't work. Now, thankfully, it does. And it also solved all the problems with my type-stuttering, and the wonky way my pages scrolled. Score one for the Tech-challenged! Perhaps I should let those "tech- support" people know about that- Huh?

Well, I work in about an hour. Thankfully, the days are getting better, though we're still not back to normal. But it will come with time. Patience is the key I guess ( and being a DL fan- we all know about patience ;-) ) So I'll leave you all with my usual, and wish you a good weekend. I hope to be back here later this evening or tomorrow. I'[m planning a very laid back weekend here, since I'm basically broke until payday next week!
This one is complements of my friend Kat:

The Pentagon announced today the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces. These Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennesse and Texas boys have been given only the following facts about terrorists:

1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don't like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
5. They are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

We expect the problem with terrorists in Iraq to be over by Monday.
( me here- Don't we wish!)

Have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend!

"I need a bigger hose!"

My favorite phrase in the past few days. It's because it seems my lot in life/work is to put out all the "fires" that seem to pop up! Insurance at work, computer at home. I swear, they ( co-workers and family) are driving me crazy! If I went away, would everything fall apart? The way things have been going- probably lol!

First- work. Yesterday was just plain bizarre! I had one customer threaten to kill me, one threatened to take me to court! Not that it was my fault, mind. But they wouldn't/couldn't do that to their insurance- so I was the "whooping post" du jour! Then the fight that broke out in the drive-thru. I kid you not- 2 women started screaming at each other- one in each lane- and one got out of her car and started pounding on the other's car! Can you say 9-1-1? And the "poundee" had a little kid ( maybe 1 yrs old, if that) in her car with her! We sent out one of our asst. Managers ( he who is a semi-pro basketball player and 6 ft 8 in!) to try to calm them down until the police got there. I didn't see too much of the ruckus, as I was on the phone with miss "I'mgonnasueyourass" at the time. But the noise was enough to impress! All this, ladies and gentlemen, before lunch! Needless to say nerves were frayed around the pharmacy, so Miss Smartmouth ( that would be me, btw ) came out with something about everyone taking their "pissy-pills" that morning. Got a good laugh going with that one, and everyone relaxed! But the day was just too weird for words.

Then home to the general cussing over the computer. Jon and Andy complaining that when we had the computer fixed, they screwed up the video card. Apparently some of their games won't work. Well, after some questions to both, it seemed that the problem was a program called "directx10"? Anyhow, I spent this morning surfing around, and it seems there was a patch/upgrade to said program while the computer was off at the shop. Well, no wonder the darn thing isn't working. So I spent this morning upgrading/installing/patching the darn thing. Would they think to go to the Microsoft website to see if that was the case ( we have Windows XP on this thing)-- NOT IN THIS LIFETIME! So hopefully that will solve that problem. I'm not going 3 weeks again without a decent computer. No way, no how, NOPE!

So such has been my life the last few days. And we've decided not to have a "Superbowl" party after all. I mean, most of the time, the game doesn't even start until 8-9 pm. Which means it doesn't end until after midnite. On a Sunday. When everyone has to get up at the asscrack of dawn the next day. So nope, no party for us. I'll just have to do my own personal celebration. It was also called to my attention that IF the Steelers play poorly- I'd have to be depressed in front of family and friends. At least, this way I only have to deal with Hubby and the kids. Much easier on my nerves. But I will be getting in touch with my other blog-buddy Steeler Fans ( Julie, Michele) and perhaps we can cry/celebrate together. I don't know how, but I'm thinking about it.

So today I'm gonna veg. Crochet a little, do some cleaning, and run some errands. And I've decided I'm gonna pick up a bunch of these for my customers, and some of my co-workers:

I think they'll be a BIG seller, don't you? lol!

Until later- Peace and Love ( and a little Prozac ;-) )

Why do I do this to myself???

I can't just do something simple. Like buy a new mouse, hook it up, and leave go at that. OH NO- Not ME! What started off as a simple project ended up as an all afternoon, frustrating, pain in my back ( which I still have!) enterprise in computer maintainance 101!

New keyboard and mouse ( both wireless ), A new desk chair ( Very Comfortable!) and mat to roll it on. But of course, I just had to move the desk out from the wall, and try to "contain" all the wires that are left. Which meant uncovering an area that hasn't seen the light of day in a couple of years. After moving said desk,( and guiding Jimmy Hoffa out of the room lol!) I found out what happened to about 10 pens, 3 or 4 CD's, and mass quantities of stuff for which I'll plead the 5th! So 3 hours later ( I kid you NOT!) All new stuff was assembled/programed/cleaned and otherwise dealt with. Remind me of this if I EVER get one of those ideas again? PLEASE!!!!?????

Other than that, things are relatively calm. But that will last about 1 hour more, until a certain team takes the field. Right now I'm starting yet another project. My kids have been bugging me to make a new afgan for the livingroom ( the old one having gone in the trash last summer, it had seen better days!). Becky had expressed an interest in learning how to crochet, so that's what we're doing. I'm making an afgan, and Becky's making a Koala Bear! Then she's going to make more animals for Kim, and possibly her friends as gifts! That, candles, soap, and my potpourri- heck, I won't have to "buy" any gifts this year! At least, that's the plan. I have to pay off christmas, and save for a possible "trek" this summer. Works for me, anyway.

And work Friday went pretty well. D actually talked to me, and I gave her some suggestions. So perhaps some things will be ironed out soon. I know we're finally getting less problems with all the new insurances. And the schedule has been adjusted to make sure that someone with experience is always there to help, if needed. So I'm no longer dreading going into work. Makes life much easier that way!

Well, I'd better get the heck off this thing. I have to get my stuff together for the game ( baby carrots to munch, terrible towel at the ready, etc.) I'll catch you all later, after the game if I can. If not, Tomorrow night for sure ;-)

Take care!
GO STEELERS!
Peace and Love, KC.

Is it warm in here or WHAT!!!???

( sorry, I just had to have a little fun this morning ;-) )

Ok- so I didn't have to work with D last night. I worked with a "float" guy from up in St. Augustine. And because he knew what he was doing, it was a wonderfully easy evening! First one I've had in a while! But tonight I work with D, and if anything, last night proved to me that I'm right about where all the problems at work are coming from. So, If she asks......... !

At least I have the weekend off! I was told by the asst. that does the schedule that I'm not going to be working weekends for a while. it seems that someone requested I work during the week, when I'm most needed. NOT that I'm complaining mind- but it's nice to know. Especially if a certain team wins their game this weekend! ( Note to Janine: BRONCOS??? I really thought better of you sweetie! I'm gonna have to come up there and straighten you out!!! ;-p )

I'm also gonna take your suggestion Jude, and get a wireless keyboard and mouse for this thing. I've been complaining about all the wires behind this thing, and how hard it is to move/clean around it. That would solve at least a little of the problem! And a new chair. My back just can't take much more of this broken one! Oh, and the new video is from a band that Becky has turned me on to. It's called H.I.M. ( stands for "His Infernal Majesty"- I think! lol) and I just love this song. Funny what you can get from your own kids!

Well, I had hoped to get a Rocket launch on video yesterday. But it was delayed until after I had to be in at work. So you all are just going to have to settle for the usual:( also from Janine!)

..........................................................
A new young monk arrives at the monastery and, as with all new monks, he is
assigned to help the
other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand.

He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from
the original
manuscript.

So, the new monk goes to the head abbot to question this, pointing out that
if someone made even a
small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up. In fact, that
error would be continued
in all of the subsequent copies.

The head monk, says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries,
but you make a good
point, my son."

So, he goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the
original manuscript is held
as archives in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years.

Hours go by and nobody sees the old abbot. The young monk becomes concerned
and goes to the dark
cave to check.

He sees him banging his head against the wall, and wailing, "We forgot the
"R", we forgot the "R"
His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably.

The young monk asks the old abbot, "What's wrong, father?"

With a choking voice, the old abbot replies, "The word is celeb r ate! The
word is celeb r ate!

Have a great weekend! I'll be back here tomorrow with something.......?

Typical!

One day, it's 80 degrees and sunny. Next day- we're in the 40's and FREEZING! It's no wonder that everyone around here is getting sick! You never know from one day to the next whether you need a jacket or shorts!

Well, back to "HC" ( Hell central) today. I close both tonight and tomorrow, and work with D both nights. Maybe, if we talk, and I can tackfully explain, things can get "ironed out". I'm not planning on starting the conversation, but if it comes up......? Well, we'll see.

I think this weekend, I'm gonna drag Jon out and get a new chair for this computer station. The back to this one is broken- and it's killing my back to sit here! And we need a new mouse. The one we have keeps freezing up. I've got our old one from the kid's computer hooked up right now, and it seems to be working. But we need 2! So that's more money out the door. And I don't need to be spending more right now. It cost me a small fortune for the hotel room down in Ft. Lauderdale for the Bon Jovi concert. But I'm glad I got it, since according to all the hotel sites there are very few rooms available on that night! At least I didn't have to book it in a 5-star that costs $500 a nite! Ft. Lauderdale is NOT a cheap place to stay!

Oh, and since it's been a while, and it is SOOO cold outside right now- I'll leave you all with something that just *might* warm you up:

Breakfast in bed, anyone ;-)

Have a great day!
Peace and Love, KC!

Well.......

I guess things are solved- for now. Let me try and explain:

We have a new Pharmacy Manager, who I'll call "D" for now. D has worked for Walgreens before, although she left a few years ago and has now come back. I've worked with her before, and while I like her as a person, I didn't know whether she'd be good "manager" material. It seems, after the last 2 weeks, my suspicions were well founded.

First of all, she came in and re-arranged the pharmacy. Now, I would agree that some general cleaning had to be done ( and does get done when time allows). But she went NUTS! And then came the changes- to every little thing we did! She didn't give us any time to "acclimate" to each other, get to know one another- nothing! And since she's yet to be "trained" in how the pharmacy/computer/flow system works NOW ( as opposed to back when she worked with us before!) her changes DON'T WORK! But she doesn't understand that- CAUSE SHE'S NOT TRAINED YET! She's also made snap judgments about people I work with, as to their capabilities and temperaments that have a couple of them really pissed off. AND she's complaining about our customer service. D claims that we need to improve it immensely ( HER words) Now, I know it's been chaotic lately. But that is not our fault. Between the hell that is Medicare part d, and the loss of all but one ( myself!) experienced Techs, it will take some time to get back to normal. And we are- but she's not helping- she's CAUSING most of the problems herself! Rx's are not done on time- SHE's the one who's spending so much time on the piddly little paper details, that she's not doing her basic job!
Like reviewing the scripts on time so we can fill them and get them to the customers??( every day I've gone in, and if I get there at 11am, there are scripts still in a "entered" status in the computer with 10am times on them. Which means she hasn't even reviewed them to let us fill them. And the "10am" is the time the customer said they'd be there to pick them up????!!!!)

The "straw" that broke it was last Friday. We had an irate customer at the counter. Understandably pissed off about us screwing up her insurance (Done earlier by a very inexperienced tech & D!). I fixed everything, apologized, and got her a refund with the help of one of the asst. mgr's. Did she come down to handle the problem? Did she help calm the lady? NO! She hid in the corner the whole time! Left me hanging my arse out to dry! And right after that was when she started bitching about our customer service! BULLSHIT! I've been running around putting out fires since she's gotten here. And then came the clincher- A girl walked in, introduced herself as "S", and walked down to talk to D. I'd never seen her before ( she had on one of our vests however). About 10 minutes later, she turns to me with a snotty tone of voice- asking if I knew how to do my job??!!! WTF? Julie, our regular pharmacist had her back to S, and looking at me mouthed " who the F*ck is she????" I shrugged at Julie and told S that I was busy serving the customers. If she had a problem with that, she'd better explain why!( WHO did she think she was- walking into a new/unknown store, and jumping down my throat minutes later?) Then about 10 minutes later- D & S left. And we heard them talking about S being our senior pharmacy tech! ( never mind that they didn't ask me- which as ranking tech in the store is S.O.P.) I said to Julie- " If that's our new head tech- I am so OUT OF HERE! I'm not working for some stuck-up snob with a major attitude! The Asst. Manager that had been there earlier heard my statement, and came back to find out what was going on. And I lost it! I ranted for about 15 minutes, with Julie adding in stuff she'd seen/heard. Since Mr. P was off for the weekend, we were told to hang in until Monday, and tell him what's going on.

Which we did. And he just rolled his eyes, and shook his head with each incident that was relayed. After we were done, he told us not to worry- WE weren't going anywhere. If anyone was leaving- D was! So he called the district office, and the outcome is that "S" is NOT going to be our senior tech. She'd never been cleared to be so- and they were not going to! And that D had better straighten out herself, or she'd be history! So now we are waiting to see if that's the case. D did seem to be nicer/better the last few days. She even told me to let her know if she was messing up somewhere. But I'll reserve judgment to see if it lasts. I still don't think she has the "cajones" to be a manager. She was never good with confrontation of any sort ( that she didn't start herself!) So that's where things stand now. "wait and see" mode.

So you can see why I've been MIA lately. I've just been so wiped out with the crap/politics at work. I gave myself a little vacation from "reality" for a few days. And since I worked the 8-5 shift Monday and yesterday, I just didn't have it in me to fight with the kids/hubby for use of the computer. I knew I'd be off today, and could explain it all to you guys without some kid leaning over my shoulder. Or bugging me for a drink/food/something. I'll try not to let that happen again.

So on to other topics:

HOW ABOUT THOSE STEELERS!!!?????

THREE MAJOR bad calls, and they still won! Scary! Talk about an emotional rollercoaster ride! I'm with Julie H.- I thought I'd have a heart attack ( or 2 or 3 or.....) before that game was over! One question though to those who are football savvy-
The play with the interception that wasn't. IF they had lost- and IF( as is now the case) the NFL has said it was indeed an interception- Do you think the steelers would have had any recourse? Would they have still- technically lost? Would they have had to play the game over? What do you think? Because if they had kept that interception- they would have won by 13+ points. Just something we were talking about yesterday at work. Any ideas?

Well, Andy just came home, and I still have to make a hotel reservation for the JBJ concert next month. I'm not going to go through what I did when we went down to Hollywood to see the Leps! So I'll get out of here. Take care, and I'll "see" you all tomorrow ( since I close the next 2 nights!)
Peace and Love, KC!

Today....

Is not going to be a good day. We had a few "situations" at work Friday, which will probably come to a head today. Either attitudes change, or I will ( regretfully) be requesting a transfer. Or worse yet, spending my day off "beefing up" my resume.
Yes, it was/is THAT BAD.

I did it!

Remember, this is just a test!

I don't know whether this is gonna come out right or not. But it took me uploading the phones software 3 times, and a phone call to Sony to figure out what's what! Seems my antivirus has to be turned off for the darn computer to "see" my phone! HRUMPF! But at least I got them uploaded!

**edit to add** well, it's kind-of shakey, and you have to turn off the music video to hear the audio, but hey- it's a first run test. I'll get better with time!

Well, another week, shot to hell! And work continues as it has. But I have the weekend off, so I'm not complaining! Just have to get through tonight's shift, which shouldn't be too bad. At least Fridays normally aren't- but things aren't normal right now, so we'll just have to see.

Well, not much else going on. I'll now try to get a video worth watching on my way to work today, and load it up tomorrow. In the meantime, it IS Friday!......

This is complements of my friend Kat! And so true that they're scary... Enjoy!

I have a headache

And it's due to spending too much time trying to figure out all the new tech-stuff I have. I spent most of the morning trying to figure out my DVD burner. Once I got that straight, it was on to my new phone. Which has a built-in Walkman. Who's programming tried to screw up my I-Tunes! So I had a big mess to clean up, in order to have both on my desk-top. Apple just doesn't want competition, you understand. But I've finally got them figured out ( I HOPE!). Now I have to figure out how to send pictures to my phone to use as wallpapers. The ones that came with this phone just plain suck! But I'll get to it eventually. I know I'm not spending all that money on graphics/ringtones again! At least the songs I have loaded on the thing can be used as ringtones. Saves me a WHOLE lot of money ;-)

Other than that, I've just been doing a little cleaning. I'm hoping that I'll be able to spend some time this coming weekend doing a little project I've lined up. Becy got a candle-maker for Christmas, and we want to try it out. And I've been gathering the makings for my own, homemade potpourri. All I need now is the jars to put it in. I love making that kind of stuff. And it makes really good gifts too, since most people would rather have something you've made- over store-bought. And store bought potpourri just doesn't smell as good or last as long as homemade.

Work is much the same, although the customers are finally understanding what's going on ( Newspapers have been having alot of articles about the problems-which back up what we've been telling them all along!) So they're being a little more understanding. But it's going to take time to get back to normal. I just wish certain of my co-workers put in a little more effort. So I didn't have to spend my whole day putting out fires. It's just too much for one person to handle, and I've just about had enough.

Once I get my phone all hooked up, I'll share some video. I still haven't figured out how to upload THAT yet. But this one takes really l o n g ones with audio. So I can at least give Kim a run for her money ;-)

Until next time- Peace and Love, KC!

I have to say...

Go TEAM!

Way to go Steelers, Way to GO!

BTW, my weekend has been fruitful. I finally hooked up my DVD/VCR burner. But it's gonna take some time to figure out how to work it ( in Burn mode, that is!) But like all things, I'll get it eventually. And I got a batch of DVD's in the mail that I've been watching in between chores. So we'll see what's worthy of sharing.
Other than that, and the fact that I go back to "hell" tomorrow, I thought of something else to share-
I have exactly 33 days until:

So take that- Kim, Robin et al!
I'm in a good mood, so I think I'll just go relax now. I'll be back in a day or so. If I'm not in jail for killing a certain trainer I know!

Peace and Love, KC!

TGIF!

And boy do I need it! Suffice to say- this week was a nightmare! But I will not speak about it any more, since I'm beginning to sound like a broken record.

I noticed, while paying my cellphone bill this morning, that I can upgrade my phone. And since I was planning to get a new camera ( to replace the one that was broken Christmas Day) I decided to kill 2 birds with on stone- so to speak!

a Sony Ericsson W600-
This puppy has a "real" camera in it, holds mp3's, and is just too cool for words! The screen on it is also larger than most cameras, so I'll be able to see it better with my old eyes lol!

So this weekend we are going to take down the Christmas decorations, clean and relax! It's suppose do be freezing tomorrow and Sunday, so I'll have to "tent" the garden as well. It figures, since I have a bunch of stuff that is about 2 weeks off harvest. Well, it's not like this hasn't happened before. So I best get to it- but first- Your Friday Funnies! Brought to you from the www, since I haven't been getting any good ones in the mail ( that were not sent by one of you, and therefore read by all!) ENJOY!

Wireless home security systems aren't just for rich folk. Here's how rednecks do it:

1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men's used work boots. A really big pair.

2. Put them outside your front door on top of a copy of American Rifleman magazine.

3. Put a dog dish beside it. A really big dish.

4. Leave a note on your front door that says: "Bubba, big Mike and me have gone to get more ammunition. Back in a half hr. Oh, and don't disturb the Pit Bulls -- they's just been wormed."

5. Pop a cold one and relax.
...............................

How men interpret language:

It's really very simple, once you get the hang of it. A few examples:

1. "I'm going fishing."
Translated: I'm going to drink myself dangerously stupid, and sit in a boat with a stick in my hand, while the fish swim by in complete safety.

2. "It's a guy thing."
Translated: There is no rational thought pattern connected with it, and you have no chance at all of making it logical.

3. "Can I help with dinner?"
Translated: Why isn't it already on the table?

4. "Uh huh, sure honey." or, "Yes, dear."
Translated: (Means absolutely nothing -- it's a conditioned response.)

5. "It would take too long to explain."
Translated: I haven't the foggiest.

6. "I was listening to you. It's just ... I have lots of things on my mind."
Translated: Huh? I wasn't listening.

7. "Take a break honey, you're working too hard."
Translated: I can't hear the game over the vacuum cleaner.
This would be Jon- BTW!

8. "That's interesting, dear."
Translated: Oh, are you still talking?

9. "You know how bad my memory is."
Translated: I remember the theme song to "F-Troop," the address of the first girl I ever kissed, and the license plate numbers of every car I've had. But I have no idea when your birthday is.

10. "I dunno ... I was just thinking about you, and when I saw these roses I just thought you'd like them."
Translated: The girl selling them on the corner was a real babe.

11. "Oh, don't fuss. I just cut myself, it's no big deal."
Translated: I've severed a limb, but I'll bleed to death before I admit that I'm hurt.

12. "I've got my reasons for what I'm doing".
Translated: ...and I sure hope I think of some soon.

13. "I can't find it."
Translated: It didn't fall into my out-stretched hands, so I'm completely clueless.

14. "What did I do this time?"
Translated: What did you catch me at?

15. "I heard you."
Translated: I have no idea what you just said, and am hoping desperately that I can fake it well enough so that you don't find that out.

16. "You know I could never love anyone else."
Translated: I am used to the way you yell at me, and I realize it could be worse.

17. "You look terrific."
Translated: Oh God, please don't try on any more clothes!

18. "I'm not lost. I know exactly where we are."
Translated: No human will ever see us alive again.

Have a great weekend all!
Peace and Love, KC

Stolen from Janis!

Light
Your element is Light: Innocent, beautiful,
kind-hearted and pure. You are so sweet your
almost angelic! You find joy in others
happiness and cannot stand to see anyone in
pain. You want to make everyone around you feel
good about themselves and if someone is upset
you can tend to become rather upset as well
which means you are sympathetic and raise
others above yourself. Being as kind and
good-natured as you are people have most likely
hurt you in the past but you pick yourself up
every time. You may look fragile but you are
stronger then most tend to see. Life is
beautiful no matter how you look at it and you
understand that people make mistakes. Not
everyone is perfect. You try to see the good in
the bad which is a talent few posses. Dont ever
let anyone change you. You truly have a
beautiful soul inside and a heart of gold.

Well,I work the late shift tonight, and then off for 2 days. I'll be glad, 'cause if work today is anything like yesterday- I'll go mad! And we got visited by the District manager, and pharmacy trainer, who preceeded to tell us we were doing things all wrong? Well, she wasn't there all day, didn't see the crap we went through all morning. She just waltzed in while we were up to our eyes in insurance problems and scripts, and decided we did not know what we were doing. She may be back today, and if she is I'm going to have a "Talk" with her. I just hope she doesn't mess thing up more. We had almost 80 scripts on the counter to be filled, and she was telling people that the wait time was 10 MINUTES?! How am I supposed to do that, fill all the rest of the scripts, answer the phone ( and the 15 minute conversations they turn out to be- insurance problems!) all by myself? The other 2 techs that are left working with me have a combined total of 6 months between them!! I'm constantly having to go and help them as well as deal with my own headaches! Think of me tonight- send me some peaceful vibes- I'LL NEED THEM!

Other than work, not much going on. I come home so wiped out, that I just "veg" out. I know this will all smooth out in a couple weeks, but right now I'm just drained as hell! I'll be back tomorrow, with our usual. Try and have a good day all!
Peace and Love, KC

Welcome to 2006!

And I'm off today, after 2 days in computer hell! All those people with the new laws and Medicare D and stuff has "insurance computer land" shot to hell! Links crashing all day, and a lot of people coming in with " I didn't know I had to sign up- I thought you all did that for us?" type crap. Another one I had not seen coming. It seems that if you are on permanent disability ( SSI) - you are now required to sign up for the Part D plans as well. They no longer get plain Medicaid. Which means Co-pays now- and they are PISSED! Basically about 70% of our customers ( that do not have "normal" insurance) are so totally clueless that it's sad. And many are taking out their anger/frustrations on us. One lady was particularly nasty, calling us names and saying we were trying to rip her off. I told her if she had a complaint about the new system- the address to send it to was 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC!! That shut her up!

Other than that, nothing is happening here. The kids go back to school tomorrow. I'll be glad! If I hear "I'm bored" one more time- I think I'll go nuts! And the amount of food they eat while home is breaking my bank! And I could use the "down-time" with them not around in the mornings. It's hard to keep this house neat when they're right behind me messing it up again!

And I thnk I may have to take this darn computer back to the Geek Squad. Apparently, what ever they "fixed" on this thing is causing problems with the system. It keeps crashing on the guy's games ( I don't play- so it doesn't bother me!) And the internet is having major problems connecting to some sites. None of mine, but Jon and Andy are cussing this thing to death! So I'm going to call them today, and see if there is something I can do from here. Otherwise, I'll have to take the tower back in. Shit! Unless you all have any ideas? Games are ( in their words) freezing, and Andy's game (Runescape) keeps booting him off after a few minutes. Some of Jon's blogs won't load at all. The Geek Squad said that it was some "firmware" that they fixed? A glitch in the master programing of the computer ( it must have been windows?), and not anything like the video card. But I can't let this go too long, or my service plan may run out- and that means big bucks! So if you all have any ideas- I'm listening!!

Well, speaking of mess- I have one calling my name! So I'll leave you all here, and come back later. I need to catch up with you all anyway! Have a great day, and if your back to work- Have fun!!

Peace and Love, KC!

P.S.- I just tried to link to a "quiz" off one of the sites, and I couldn't do it! So add one more glitch to the problem! Shit, looks like I'm DEFinately going to have to take this darn thing back in! BOO HOO HOO!!!!!!!

P.S.S.- I forgot to do this..MY BAD!
