WOO HOO!
Having a good day here! Of course being off today is part of it- but after the rollercoaster that's been my world the last few days- it's nice to be on the "upswing" so to speak. Let me explain.....
Same old start to a weekend. Spent Friday morning paying the bills, blogging, etc. Saturday as well- went to the store, BIL's, no big. Thinking about what we were going to do on next week's vacation. I mean- Sea World? Something else? stay overnight- or do the "long-haul" from here to there in one day? Got online Sunday to check to see what was available. Looked at the bank account balance- and almost had heart failure! According to them- about $1000 was missing!!?? OH SHIT! Had someone hacked my account? Did the mortgage company double-charge me? ( that would not have covered all that was missing, still...?) I was scared shitless- I kid you not! At that point- there was nothing I could do. No one at the bank on Sundays after all.
Monday morning- and I had to be at work early. We were slammed, so I didn't get a chance to call until almost noon- then when I did- the monies were all there! Still- I talked to a clerk , who informed me that their computer system went "wonky" over the weekend. NO SHIT G/F! She said she'd been fielding calls all morning about it. Flash forward to Monday evening, Jon mentions to me that I had to do an "errand" for him Tuesday. Very unusual for him- he doesn't ask me to do that normally. But it seems that his boss decided he had too much vacation time accrued, and paid him 2 weeks! Extra monies!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we're going to Sea World alright! And I booked us dinner reservations at the "Pirates dinner theater" as well. ( It's kind-of like that Medievel Times place we went to last year- only it's with a Pirate theme). 2 nights out of the house, and OUT OF TOWN! Now I just have to find someone to watch our dog for 2 days. Shouldn't be too hard though. ( actually- I just called while typing this- I didn't realize boarding pets was so CHEAP!? Should have done this all along!)
So I'm now counting down the days. Looking forward to a "break" in the insanity that is my world. But don't worry y'all- Becky has a laptop- so look for postings while were gone. It's going to be fun though, just getting away with the family for a couple of days. I SOOOOO need this after all the shit that's been going on at work.
