Some days, you just feel old!

Well, I'm home today. Trying my best to fight off a cold/flu/whatever. Seems like this past year I just can't avoid whatever is "going around". But hey - it can't help that I work around sick people all the time huh?
So what's been happening? Not a lot really. Mom's treatments go on. She had another lump removed last week, but it turned out to be scar tissue, and not anything bad ( thank goodness!) She's got 2 more chemo's to go, and then radiation starts. But she's doing better mentally, even if her energy levels are not very high. So not much to worry about there.
Kimmie's 8th B-day was last Saturday, and we met the family for lunch, and then we took her to the local Zoo. They have their annual Dinosaur exhibit on right now- and she just loves that! If I get some energy up I'll post some pictures for you all. It's not a big Zoo per se, but it's really a nice one. And of course- she made out pretty well in the present dept! I now have "moonsand" all over my kitchen table!!!
Work- WEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLL is work! Same shit- different week! I won't bore you all with the details, but suffice to say that things are still crazy in the Pharmacy biz!

6 unimportant things about me?????
Ok, Ok, let's see....
1- I have a walk-in closet. But it's not full of clothes- it's full of BOOKS! Yup- I don't have a lot of bookshelves, and since I read about 3-4 books a week, that's where they are all stashed. Really! Ask my kids!
2- My kids call me "the Rabbit". I would rather eat veggies/salad than anything else. Give me a "bag'o lettuce" and some dressing and I'm in heaven!
3- I cuss. ALOT! I try not to in front of the kids, or my customers. But I can swear like a sailor if I'm truly angry. Thankfully, that doesn't happen very often!!
4- I sleep with 1 leg hanging off the side of the bed. Or at the very least, out from under the covers- even if it's cold as crap out. Mom said it used to scare the crap out of my parents, always being afraid that I'd fall out of bed ( I never did though!)
5- I own 4 dresses. A couple of skirt/shirt combos, and my scrubs for work. My wardrobe is mostly jeans and T-shirts. Yup, I'm a casual kind of person.
6- As much as I value my right to vote, I AM SOOOOO SICK of the presidential campaign B.S. on the TV/News/Web right now, I'm voting for Alfred E. Newman for president this time! ( those of you who understand this are showing your age lol!!!)
As for the "tagging" of others- Nope, not going to. But if anyone wants to join in go right ahead!
Now- I'm going to take some drugs and lay down. If they work, I'll try to get back on here later and post some Zoo pics.
